The Club House Hotel

"This hotel is in an excellent location near the centre of Kilkenny, which is a very walkable city in any case. And an added bonus is that they have a car park at the rear. The hotel is from the Georgian era and has lots of charming period features! The food at breakfast and for dinner in the restaurant was excellent. Sometimes the service in the restaurant in the evenings was a bit slow - one more waitress would have made a big difference. My only disappointment in this hotel was that I was given a very small room. In fact looking at the floor plan behind the door, I was in the very smallest room on that floor and I'm not convinced that every other room was occupied. Otherwise I was delighted with this hotel and would highly recommend it."

"The location on the outskirts of Waterford is ideal for outings to e.g. the Copper Coast drive or to Mount Congreve Gardens. The hotel is clean, modern and very stylish. My room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. My evening meals in the restaurant were very good. My only critical observation would be that perhaps the waiters could be a little more courteous. All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Waterford."

"My wife and I booked Hotel Kilkenny. We arrived early and checked in. On a walk my wife tripped and fell needing a trip to the emergency room. The reception staff at the hotel went above and beyond getting everything she needed for the trip to the hospital. When we returned to the hotel, everyone was so kind asking how she was doing. The breakfast was made to order and was excellent. Every member of the staff from front desk, bar, dining and housekeeping were amazing. Our room was beautiful. The housekeeping staff kept all our amenities refilled. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel. When I return to Kilkenny, I will stay at this hotel again."

"Beautiful hotel with very, very clean rooms and comfortable beds. We had their most basic room for our 1 night stay and it was perfectly cosy and opulent. I loved the bath with bath salt, the bvlgari soap, and the pool was great as well. Breakfast was buffet and order from the table. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return one day!"

"We are one week into a three week vacation. The Hoban was our first night and is still the best so far. Room was large bed was a North American style king size, food was amazing, staff extremely helpful. Can’t say enough good things about this place."
