Lots of stores and restaurants to choose from. The hotel seemed a bit rundown. The backdoor didn't work, parking was weird, grounds not well maintained. No outdoor seating, I was on ground floor and the carpet felt damp, I got up to find a centipede in the tub. When I arrived the place smelled like weed, maybe legal there, but I don't like it but was too tired to make a fuss. Wouldn't stay there again.

We had to take our dog to the vet. They’re in Kirkwood, and it was very convenient to stay at the Best Western, which was very accommodating for our beloved pet.

In very poor condition- wifi is abysmal and barely accommodates email. Rooms (we had two) smelled wet and unpleasant. Both bathrooms had drainage problems- sinks and tubs. Not sure how it has good ratings as we had two rooms for three days and got a good idea of what the place was like. Staff tried to be helpful but didn't seem to have enough help. Our checkin took 20 minutes as the person was away clearing a clogged drain and toilets (evident by the plunger and gear in his hands when he returned). He was quite nice but by then we had stood there a long time and there were 5 or more people behind us waiting for checking. Sheets had other people's hair in it as did the bathroom. It just isn't a welcoming place but ok for a night if you are in a pinch? Halls also smelled of weed and some sort of "air freshener" to cover it. It didn't bother me but my colleague found it bothered their sinuses. I actually preferred that smell to that of the wetness and mildew...

The beds were the worst I've ever experienced. You could feel springs popping in your back whenever you moved in the bed. Both of the queen beds in our room were like this; flat and very uncomfortable.

This is in a shopping mall right off the highway, it’s near family for me. Staff is super helpful and friendly, the cost is reasonable and the rooms are clean and comfortable

The room is very nice, clean, and comfy. However, the night staff was not very friendly or helpful. He told us that there was no hot water, but offered no solution. Next morning the water was barely running and ice cold. Manager did give points for another nights stay. Manager, Tommy was wonderful and kind about the whole thing, but no hot water should be stated before check in is completed.

Needed to extend my stay from 7 nights to 18, and the staff was very helpful & accommodating. The only irritating thing for me was the television! Finding channels & navigating to them was far from intuitive. I was told to refer to a laminated channel guide that was not in my room, staff member looked & concurred. Luckily I had my laptop & HDMI cable. My Roku stick would have been even more useful!

I didn't like that the bathroom wasn't properly cleaned before our stay. There was long hair in each of the corners and several strands in the bathtub. Unpleasant shower experience, lukewarm water that suddenly went very cold. Debated on whether to rinse in the cold water or wait...another ten minutes before the water got hot. Heard from other guest in the morning that they had a very similar experience. The breakfast buffet was good, staff in attendance were great, very friendly.

It was very convenient for us, especially not knowing much about St Louis, and just stopping there to get some rest. Lots of choices for restaurants around. Close to aquarium, ball park, and Arch. Would def stay here again.

We stayed 2 nights. Walls are thin, you can hear your neighbors, hallway traffic and street noise. Reserved a room for 4 adults, they provided towels for 2 people. Called and asked them to deliver more and was informed we could come downstairs to the front desk and get them ourselves; which this appeared to be a common problem as there was a line for towels. The water pressure in the shower is almost nonexistent; the water trickled out and then completely shut off during my shower only to come back on after a minute freezing cold and never did get hot again. Water stains on the ceiling, mattresses are old, dirty baseboards. Guess we got what we paid for; seeing as it was the only reasonably priced hotel in the area. We didn’t know when we booked that it was the Cardinals opening weekend. We’ve stayed at other hotels in the area and been much happier and in the future will stay there again.

Positives: friendly check-in, convenient location, breakfast hot, attentive breakfast attendants, bed was comfy Negatives/non-negotiables: our non-smoking room smelled like someone had been smoking in there frequently. No hot water the first morning. Little to no hot water the second morning. No water pressure in shower. The water poured out of the bottom of the shower head. This is our second stay at this hotel in the last year. Our first stay was great, no issues, which is why we booked again. This time, was a different story. We stayed on the 4th floor so maybe the water can’t get all the way up there. I have stayed in hotels in 3rd world countries with better water pressure and hot water. When we asked for a new room we were told there were not any other rooms. In addition, they don’t service your room unless you make a request the night before. We were not told this bit of information at check-in which caused an inconvenience. We will not stay at this hotel again. Too many other options in the area.

The property was average. The parking was challenging as the back doors were not working properly. Anyone who parked out back had to go through the front door and walk all the way around.
