Can't fault the hotel at all. Nice airy rooms, good-sized bathroom as well. Comfortable bed. The place was spotless. It's just a short walk to either the town centre or the harbour/bay.

Spacious room which was ideal for me (solo traveller)
The hotel location is very good and is close to restaurants, shops and bars.
The breakfast catered for many and the staff on reception were very helpful with any queries I had. I would recommend this hotel as it is great place to base yourself.
Fantastic hotel and staff. Rooms were very modern and well laid out. Access to the bus network was only a two minute walk from the hotel and many shops/bars were also within a 5 minute walk. The included continental breakfast was also great and to our surprise also contained cooked breakfast items like sausage, beans, scrambled eggs and bacon. We would definitely consider staying here again in the future.

Friendly staff. Room service daily if wanted. 24/7 reception. Good breakfast
Cute little hotel, great staff and fantastic price! Quiet although quite central and close to Paceville, normal Maltese street noise, I recommend keeping the Windows closed.
I would definitely recommend staying here for low budget but clean rooms and fantastic beds!
The hotel itself is an easy walk to the San Giljan bus stop for the Airport Express and Ross bus stop also, both with great links to Silema, Valletta and northwards to Cirkewwa Ferries.
The lobby, dining hall and room was all kept in a great condition and room had a great air conditioning/heating unit. Only drawback I could find was the height of the shower and the confined space of it. For someone thats 6ft or over isnt far off the main showerhead and has to usually resort to using the smaller handheld part. Other than that, the stay was exceptional and would definitely look at returning on another trip to Malta
Excellent location and v good breakfast. Most staff friendly apart from one gentleman in reception. Stairwell and bathroom vents need to be dusted better.
Great location. Easy to walk to beautiful bay areas including Spinola Bay. We were on the 8th floor and we did not hear any outside noise. Safe area. Breakfast buffet had very limited options but overall the room was great and we loved the walking convenience of the area.
This was my second stay at The Ivy Hotel and I already can’t wait to come back! I absolutely love its central location, stylish vibe, and super comfy bed.
I always book the accessible room due to mobility needs, and I have to say the bathroom is hands down the best accessible bathroom I’ve ever experienced in a hotel. Thoughtfully designed and beautifully finished.
The room has a touch of luxury, complete with a handy mini fridge. And the staff? Always warm and welcoming.
A fantastic stay from start to finish.
I stsyed in this hotel for 4 nights at the beginning of February 2024. I also stayed there in February 2023 so it must be doing something right.
Rooms are of a good size and equipped with everything you need, air-conditioning, fridge, kettle etc.
Breakfast is adequate with hot and continental avaiable and there is a small bar available for drimks.
The area is not the prettiest in Malta but everything you need is readily available and within a few minutes walk is Paceville which is the party central of Malta. Plenty of places to eat and drink virtually 24 hours a day within a very short walk.
The Ivy Hotel was great. Perfectly situated and easy to everything we needed. It as also so clean and new and the air conditioning was amazing….a must need in Malta.
The staff named Prem needs to be taught how to communicate with customers, this guy was completely rude to me for no reason because he saw me using the microwave that I already asked for permission from the kitchen staffs that I met there before proceeding to use the microwave.Telling me he doesn’t care about no other staff but aslong as he is on shift I should have approached him first, infact this is just bit of all the unprofessional behaviour and attitude displayed by this guy..He was talking and hissing at the same time.i mean it that staff as to be sat down and taught how to communicate with customers and staffs alike..He completely ruined my stay in Malta!
Lovely hotel just off the main street in St Julians. Bus stops were within 200 metres which would take you most places.
The area is pretty lively with bars and food outlets open until about 4am although i heard no noise overnight despite having my balcony door open.
I stayed in room 1003 which had a very large balcony with sea views but also with the views of the numerous building sites which are an everyday occurrence in Malta. There was, however, little noise from the sites but it is something you need to consider wherever you visit in Malta.
The Ivy is a delightful escape from this popular Malta tourist area's congestion, noise, and dirt. A block off the main drag, it is peaceful, welcoming, modern, well-maintained, and clean when you step inside.
The staff is friendly and helpful.
The room was comfortable, nicely decorated, and equipped with everything you needed for a lovely stay.
The shower had plenty of water pressure and endless hot water. There were many large absorbent bath and hand towels (but no washcloths - common in Malta).
The bed linens were very nice. I wish there had been more pillows, but those provided were comfy. The mattress was firm for my taste and could have used a pillow topper.
There was a private balcony with an uninspiring city view. I was disappointed to see an ashtray and smell cigarette smoke from previous guests.
The breakfast was excellent, with hot and cold choices. The breakfast room is quiet and comfy and kept tidy by an attendant.
If you plan to be in St Julian, Ivy is the place to stay. This small hotel is an escape from the madding crowd on the streets. Also, your budget will thank you; Ivy is a great value. I highly recommend this property.
