Beautiful place, very friendly and helpful people, wonderful terrace with masses of hummingbirds, fantastic view from the shared bathroom rooms on the first floor

The views are beautiful but AC in some rooms should be offered. There was breeze through the windows but still it was hot. The toilets and bathrooms needed some maintenance (rusty shower shelves, plumbing, etc.). Also breakfast was tiny and overpriced. The same plain omelette was given every day with a tiny slice of tomato and fruit, not enough for a grown adult to start their day with! The location was convenient in the hills close to areas needed but more should be offered for the rates. The hosts were friendly but it’s clear frugality has been taken to the extreme to maximize their profits over guest comfort. Mostly a good stay though.

It seems there might have been a misunderstanding as our breakfast menu varies daily to provide guests with a diverse and enjoyable dining experience. We offer a selection of breakfast items, including omelettes prepared with different ingredients, fruits, and accompaniments.We also ask our guests if they would like to have any extra portions or beverages.The breakfast is complimentary so there is no charge for itFurthermore, we apologize for the maintenance issues you encountered in the bathrooms. Our maintenance team has been notified, and we are actively working to address these issues promptly to maintain the high standards of our facilities.Regarding your comment about rates and value, please be assured that we regularly evaluate our pricing to ensure it reflects the quality and value of our accommodations and services. We aim to provide a balance between affordability and comfort for our guests.We also would like to mention that we offered you a free early check in, a free breakfast, a complimentary stay for the daughter and a free late check out.Once again, thank you for bringing these matters to our attention. A magical space. The oldest guest house in the Caribbean on the Estate of Mount St Benedict Monastery. Fantasic views, nature birds wildlife clean air and spring water . Stayed with partner and 25 year old son and extended my stay on a solo basis. Food is delicious. Staff great . Oda and Gerard the managers are lovely people with great local and historical knowledge. The best place to stay in Trinidad ! A beautiful hidden gem!

Lovely place and very helpful staff
Located on top of the hill in Tunapana, this historic house offers amazing views of nature and the city. Oda and her husband were very nice and accommodating. Food was delicious, the bed was comfortable, and the room was clean. My upgraded room had AC and a private bathroom but it was very simple, as expected. I would stay here again and recommend it to those looking to escape the city to be close to nature.

Recommended, especially for birders
A great place for birders, relatively easy to find, with very friendly and knowledgeable hosts in a safe area near St Benedict's Monastery. Rooms on 1st floor have their own bathroom with practical plumbing as well as A/C and WIFI but you will not forget that your are in a Caribbean environment. Buffet style evening meals available and welcome to avoid the drive back down to town.

Lovely get away
I was pleasantly surprised with this guest house. The view from the guest house can not be adequately described. The Hosts are very friendly and very eager to assist in any way they can. The meals were delicious and even the other guests were wonderful. The wifi in some parts are fantastic but less so in others but that may be as a result of the location and internet provider.

A Peaceful Retreat
Pax Guest House is the oldest guest house in Trinidad, built in 1916 by the Benedictine Monastery. It's located 800 feet above sea level and therefore is cooler temperature-wise than staying in town, because there are wonderful breezes. The rooms are very simple and have air conditioning. Some have a private bathroom and others a shared bathroom down the hall. Oda was wonderful in answering all the questions I had as a first time visitor to Trinidad. Also, breakfast and dinner were both delicious. My favorite part of my stay was sitting on the back terrace watching all the hummingbirds come to the bird feeders. Of the 16 types of hummingbirds found in Trinidad, 13 of them come to feed at Pax Guest House.

A peaceful gem high over Port of Spain
This is a beautiful, oasis in the airy hills high above the chaos of Port of Spain. The gracious hosts and old world charm was a wonderful break from our travels around Trinidad. Dinner on the terrace was one of the highlights of a fantastic trip.

A guest house with great service
A guest house with great service, surrounded with great views and a antiques. The breakfast is excellent. No A/C, is hot during the day, at night with the mountain breeze is ok.

I had a really lovely time at Pax. Not only was it peaceful and relaxing, not only was the staff helpful and anticipating my needs, not only was there complementary breakfast and optional dinner, not only was there a good AC and clean attached bathroom in the downstairs room, but it was all REALLY AFFORDABLE! If I come back to Trinidad, I know exactly where I'll be staying!

マネージャーが親切。人柄の温かさを感じさせる。高台にあるので、眺めも良い。夜景もなかなか。ハチドリがすぐ間近に見られる。他の野鳥もいっぱい。裏手の教会⛪の見学も可。教会運営のシャトルで大通りに出られる。３泊したが、去る時には一抹の淋しさを感じた。
