"The food was great, the staff was nice. We felt great the whole time we were there. The hotel is undergoing repairs and updating parts, so it was under construction, but glad to see improvements are being made. Our room furnace broke and we were getting heat only in there, it was hot. Then we were moved to another room for a night while they fixed. When they fixed, it was cold only, and the room was freezing, but it was the last room available in the hotel. The pool was extremely cold, which is unfortunate for a small area. Kids were using it as a cold plunge. We really loved the hotel and how historic it was. We will be trying this hotel again because it deserves another chance. "
"Plan around Cardinals games! Was there for a wedding & didn’t realize how popular the area is for games.
Inadvertently arrived 2 hours before gametime & it took an hour to go the last 4 blocks. Leave time on gameday!
Recommend Stadium West garage: easy, convenient, but be mindful of timing: fills up on gameday.
It’s noisy before games (drums, street performers); no napping on gameday!
If you’re there for a Cards game this is THE perfect location.
Good lobby bar.
I was blown away by how friendly, kind, helpful & personable the employees were. 10/10
Premium king room very spacious but filthy:
-No bottom sheet, just a duvet cover draped over a bare mattress
-Windows so grimy & caked in bird poop they were nearly opaque
-Surfaces covered in thick white dust
-When I first arrived there was no handsoap or counter amenities (lotion/shower cap/etc). Second day there was handsoap but nothing else
-Only 2 bath towels, no robe
-Bathroom fixtures rusty
-Headboard, walls & carpet had dried gunk from previous guests
-Dried toilet paper on wall & floor from previous guests
(gunk, TP were never cleaned throughout the 4-day stay)
-No working bathroom fan
-1 unused vent full of dust - fire hazard?
-Other vent rusty & collected droplets that fell on me as I got ready
-Spare TP holder broken
-Only 2 coffee packets-called for more twice but it never came
-Paint peeling & patchy
-Thermostat cover broken & wouldn't close
Housekeeping in need of major oversight, otherwise a great stay."
