It was an easy walk to the old town (20-30 mins depending on fitness) and not too far from banks, supermarket etc. It's a combo hostel/hotel, obviously old but clean & has air con, and staff were helpful with transport to the airport. Evening staff got a gold star for providing ice for drinks & roomie's swollen ankle. There is no terrace as depicted. Breakfast is basic & no hot dishes. Given Croatia's prices it's decent value for a quick stay.

It is one mile from Diocletian’s Palace/old town; an easy 20 minute walk. That’s the best element. The walls are paper thin. Breakfast is mediocre. Show up early for breakfast. They didn’t resupply food when it runs out. The hotel is also clean.

On the positive side, the bed was comfortable and clean and there was hot water. The staff were very helpful and friendly. On the negative side, the room was small and dowdy with a 12inch TV monitor mounted high up in one corner. The location was in the suburbs with only one bus passing, every 30 mins at the weekend, 20 mins on weekdays, to get down to the old town. There were few dining options in the area but there were some bars. The breakfast was basic.

Good hotel in Split

After reading couple bad reports on hotel I didnt know what to expect and I was pleasantly surprised. Wasnt a bad place to stay. Good breakfast too. Air conditioning helped with intense heat. Bit out of centre but buses get you there. Not that far to walk though. Id stay there again.

Comfortable hotel within a bus ride away from town

We stayed for only a few days, but our stay was very enjoyable, and the staff were very helpful in all things. However, on arrival, there was some difficulty with the taxi driver in finding the hotel as the printout I had from Google maps seems to show another building and the driver thought there had been two Hotel Dujams in the past, so care is needed as regards the correct address.

CITY BREAK

Good basic hotel near to city centre. Brisk 15 minute walk to old town and beach. Plentiful continental breakfast. Very friendly hotel staff.

12 min to the main bus station/25 to the city

The hotel is conveniently located close the bus station (14 min walk), if you might need to catch an early ride to the airport on the day of leaving. If you leave early you can opt to take a lunch package with you. The city center with the diocletian palace is around a 25 minute walk away.

Not a 3 star hotel.....

This hotel looks like a college dorm from soviet times......, it´s dark, and not inviting either from the outside or as you walk in. Staff is helpful and nice, breakfast is ok. There is a supermarket nearby in case you need buy something. The bus stop to downtown is close by, and it has air conditioning, a big plus specially during the very hot summers. For a city like Split with very little to see, Dujam hotel is OK for one night.....

Basic hotel

Detergent smelled in the hallway and in the room. Breakfast was basic but we got enough to eat. Joker mall was only a few hundred meters away (very good place for shopping) and it was easy to access the hotel from downtown by bus nr. 9.
