This was our favourite stop on our 3 week trip. This property is a piece of paradise. The bungalow over the water was amazing - clean and spacious! We had a great experience at Lula’s. It is a very friendly B&B. The location is great, the breakfast is served in the kitchen giving a familiar vibe and the hosts are really friendly and caring.

Wonderful staff who go above and beyond

We really enjoyed our stay; I think it's one of the best hotels in Bocas del Toro. Why? It's just a 10-minute walk from the airport. It is 100% clean. Friendly and helpful staff. The air-conditioning in the room works perfectly well. Boats to go to other islands/trip are next to the hotel and some can pick/drop you up at the back of the hotel. Nice restaurant, comfort and views. Then, across the street, there is a very cheap restaurant to have breakfast or something cheaper to eat. Shops nearby...

I had a wonderful fun 3 days here .Dan and Brian are great hosts , with Dan being an exceptional chef . I highly recommend having there evening meal even though it’s served a little late for me it was worth it .The lodge is very clean and my room was huge with an upstairs bedroom and bathroom ,stairs are steep ! As the lodge is all wood the down stairs was dark with a small balcony so not really used! Yoga mats provided for self practice. I loved the location with a little walk up to the lodge...

I loved the privacy and peaceful nature of Akwaba lodge. Natali and family were wonderful hosts. Breakfast was superb! Really enjoyed spending my 30th here. They left me a little birthday gift which was a lovely. It was really clean and comfortable. We even got to go kayaking and paddle boarding with no extra charge! I would stay here again. The pool is small, but great and refreshing. The staff are very nice from ground staff through to the owner. There is a space for a gym, but no actual gym, just some mats and a few light weights. The view from the gym is excellent though, monkeys and iguanas.

A lovely property with a beautiful garden area and the owners were great and very helpful. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to stay in bocas del toro but away from the noise of the main town.

Amazing stay! Firstly, perfect location, literally 6 min walk from the airport. It is located by the sea with a nice deck to sunbathe and jump to the water for a swim. There’s also a space for the boats to stop by for all excursions you book or if you want to take a water taxi somewhere, so no need to even walk to any port (you would be located right in Bocas with loads of restaurant/cafe options around within minutes of walking). There was an issue with the room because of heavy rains and nothing under the hotels control, but the way the team handled everything was truly outstanding. The staff were attentive, professional, and genuinely eager to make things right. They went above and beyond to ensure I felt comfortable and well taken care of, which made all the difference. Honestly one of the most stunning destinations I’ve ever visited. It is so incredibly peaceful and the sunrises are unbeatable. The cabins aren’t incredibly up to date but it isn’t necessary in my opinion, the look is very charming. There is no electric sockets in the cabins but you can charge any devices in the restaurant/bar area anytime you like. The free snorkel equipment and kayaks are great too!

A most enjoyable 9-day stay in this historic hotel right in the centre of Bocas Town. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was good and varied, and the restaurant very good too. Given the historic nature of the building, the rooms don't have much drawer storage, but we did have a refrigerator and a good sized ocean-facing balcony. Highly recommended.

Wonderful place for wildlife spotting and red frogs! Comfortable room, super helpful staff. Beach is lovely although sea was rough. Quiet, good food, very laid back.You do need to walk through the jungle to get there, good path!

Exceptional customer service - friendly and professional

The owner and the other man ( didn’t get his name) are super friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. The apartment was clean and spacious with hot water and comfortable bed with good aircon, the kitchen in the apartment was well equipped so you could cook easily, the communal kitchen was also well equipped and clean.also nice and quiet area Would definitely stay here again,
