"The staff were excellent right from check in through to our dining experience. The dinner was one of the top meals we had on our entire vacation!
The hotel is older however the owners have done their best to maintain the rooms and facilities. We would stay here again"
"Wonderful! We are a couple with an 8 year old. From the moment we stepped on, we were greeted by the warm, efficient, professional owners.
The hotel was amazing and traditional. Others have said dates it’s not, it’s traditional and wonderful and not Griege with weird hotel art; there are family photos and stag heads and board games and squishy sofas and a real fire and books. The bar and lounge are somewhere you can actually relax in, in the day or the evening, the staff are wonderful and quietly attentive, without being intrusive. This place is MADE by the owners, it’s a true gem and one of a kind. It even has a private beach! It’s a private hotel so no walk ins for meals and the food is unbelievable!!! Absolutely adore this hotel. If you want a modern, generic hotel with all the bells and whistles, it’s not that. The walls aren’t straight, the decor is original and homely, the rooms aren’t straight lines and boxes, the pile sockets are just the standard 3 pins. The lamps are large and unique, there are frills and patterns and they have character and eves and cute little windows. Yes there’s the odd bit of wallpaper that’s bubbles very slightly, but this hotel oozes character and the owners are wonderful! Best food we had on our whole 10 day, 7 hotel Scotland trip! We will be back! (And we never go back)"
