"The staff was super kind, some of the nicest people we’ve ever met. They were kind enough to give us a gigantic deal on upgrading to the 2 bedroom Suites instead. The view was phenomenal, from the parking lot to any deck or balcony on the property. The sound of the ocean was super soothing with the slider door open. Walking over to the cafe for breakfast in the morning was so nice, as to not necessarily have to get ready and find a restaurant and drive elsewhere, but being on the property was such a bonus when you have children. The cafe waitress was the nicest, funniest and most down to earth woman ever, and was such a sweetie to our two young boys. They also offer takeout instead of sitting in the cafe, if you’d rather take your meal back to your room instead. We missed the date for the complimentary breakfast menu, but that was okay because the prices were more than fair — and for home cooked food, and the huge portions they give you, it made every penny, and the extra tips sooo worth it. Super delicious, we utilized it both mornings of our stay. Other hotel stayers were also very nice, as we’d interact passing by on the walkway to the beach. People walking their dogs were courteous to when others had their dogs outside as to not cause ruckus, and everyone picked up their droppings, some even without animals were kind enough to throw away a few pieces of garbage found on the property walkway to the beach. Overall, this was the best hotel around, and we’ll always come back!"

"Everything was very clean, tv is a little annoying to figure out the channels, decent breakfast and my son and another child had the pool to themselves for a couple of hours. Only thing I didn’t like in the room are the door stoppers installed into the floor. I tripped over a couple of them and it would be better if the bathroom door opened out instead of in, there would be more room. Hotel is close to many things. "

"We booked a stay at the Old Orchard Inn and had a mixed experience overall. The check-in process was confusing from the start. We initially walked into the building shown in the listing photos—a beautifully restored colonial—but there was no one there. After a few minutes, a staff member arrived and directed us to a different building on the property for check-in. It was then that we learned our room was located in another building, which was noticeably less charming than the one advertised. The room itself had a few issues. The ceiling fan was missing a blade and couldn’t be used, and there was no temperature control—our only option was to open a window to let in cold air. The bed was fairly comfortable, but oddly set up with just two king pillows and one small pillow. The decor felt dark and dated, with mismatched furnishings, including an old piano that didn’t work. Please note we did not eat at the Inn so new food review. On the positive side, the location was convenient, parking was easy and plentiful, it seemed like a safe facility, there was a nice looking (closed for the season ) pool area, and both staff members possibly owners, we interacted with during check-in and check-out were pleasant. It’s also worth noting that our stay was during the off-season, which may have impacted the overall experience. Overall, while there were some positives, the listing could be clearer about accommodations and the property could benefit from some updates and maintenance. "

"In a pinch, this would be ok - but I wouldn't recommend the place. The room we had was overly scented with some sort of room freshener. Fortunately we had an air filter/purifier with us and that reduced the smell. The doorknob for the bathroom door looked like it could fall off at any time. While there was no carpet (a good thing in my opinion), when I walked around without shoes on, my socks ended up looking disgusting. T"
