Discovery Parks - Rockhampton

"The cabins are fantastic. Definitely enjoyed my stay and the atmosphere. Parking was right next to my cabin and the whole living area is gated so there’s minimal to no worries about theft. Laundry services are reasonably priced and there’s plenty to do on the property itself. Activities in town are a close walk and also a close drive."

Heron Island Resort

"Heron Island is amazing destination but the property is starting to look tired. It is very expensive to eat, 1 restaurant (breakfast, lunch&dinner)& 1 bar, opens at 10am with limited food if fridge works!!. Same breakfast everyday is $35pp. Cafe style coffee for 2 $15, didn't have lunch. Dinner for 2 with 2 drinks and 1 dessert around $100. Diving and snorkelling was great. 1 dive $150pp & $50 for snorkelling from a boat. Free at high tide unless you hire snorkelling equipment. Dive & snorkelling shop is very well organised and equipped. The corals are slowly recovering from bleaching event in 2024 but sealife is outstanding. Staff are very helpful and friendly."
Burnett Riverside Hotel

"Plenty of space in the family room. Beds comfortable. Lift a bonus. Only problem was the poor lighting in the room being so dim that it caused headaches. One tiny small glass door to the outside and low yellow light bulb in main area was cave like. Charged for item from fridge that we did not have."

"All rooms upstairs-no lifts. Parking very tight and limited. Bed very soft so not great if you have any back issues. Staff were exceptional and location quite central with restaurants nearby."

"An older property but well maintained with good in room facilities. Only real negative was right on main road and a bit noisy , however the traffic quieted down quite early."
