This is without doubt one of the most special places we have ever stayed. Service was special from owners and staff. Food was outstanding, Rooms large and beds very comfortable, and the views truly outstanding.

My girlfriend and I had a beach bungalow. It was quite large had a bathroom double bedroom and a sizeable kitchen dinner sitting room. There were two beds in the sitting room we swopped one for a bench as we wanted to sit in comfort we covered it in pillows. We cooked our own food to save money for our trip as we enjoy whale snorkelling diving walking ect. The surrounding back drop is so beautiful . Volcanic mountains covered in lush rainforest . At the front a calm lagoon protected by a reef....

Firstly, it’s worth arriving on helicopter, worth every penny. The bures are really big and a blend of tradition and modern. Worth going for the deluxe or overwater bures. The staff are the best, attentive and nothing is too much trouble. The beaches are a bit disappointing. Not very clean as the tide comes in quite high and leaves debris. I should make it clear that this review reflects what we were looking for (chilled out relaxation, away from the rest of the world, good food, snorkelling with no crowds) and as such this place ticked all the boxes. If you are looking for a place with TVs in the rooms, fast wifi for your (ever present) Ipad, night life and super shopping then this place simply isn't for you. The island is very beautiful, the Fijian people who look after your every need are amazing , helpful and friendly. The rooms were spotless the food and service was excellent. Everything was perfect made special by the wonderful staff it was like being part of a large happy family.

Does what it says on the tin! The traditional bures are excellent to stay in. You get your own bure-front hammock (I've come to judge Fiji by its hammocks!) and there are plenty of activities (some inclusive of charge) for those who get bored easily. Food is top-notch and there's plenty of it. Staff are top-quality, too. There is nothing I did not like about this resort. It sits in the perfect location, minutes away from the airport, with a smooth sail across the ocean. I loved that the beach is private, so no bother from anyone selling products. I met a lot of friendly hotel staff who went above and beyond, Heikalani being one if them. I absolutely loved my villa. I thought it was going to be bigger but still perfect and with a pool, great touch! Mauruuru Le Bora Bora!

Hotel/Resort stunning. Room was amazing especially view and layout/facilities. Buggy service to/from room was slow. Food prices expensive but in line with expectations. Drink prices (esp. cocktails) however were absurdly expensive especially as hotel staff did not understand wine (red wine chilled ! and often oxidised) and non fresh cocktail ingredients - no fresh orange juice in entire resort. The island is surrounded by crystal clear water and is accessed by a short, 24 hour, on demand ferry ride. The staff are all extremely friendly and always willing to help with any queries. The private rooms have a beautiful ocean view and allow access to the water. Be sure to make use of the free kayaks and snorkelling gear as the water is very calm and contains plenty of marine life. A wonderful hidden gem...the property itself is very spacious, stylish and well equipped. The views from the patio area are stunning and it is incredibly quiet. Vaite looked after us amazingly well and made sure our last day in French Polynesia before returning home was extra special. Since it is far away from Tahiti, it is probably best to rent a car to explore the area as there is a lot to see.

Fabulous place to spend a few days.

I enjoyed my stay at Aroa Beachside Inn very much. The location is right next to the beach and my unit had an excellent view of the beach and the ocean, as well as views in the other direction to the mountains of Rarotonga.
