"The place needs to be updated. Great location if you will be hiking in the nearby mountains. Looks like an old resort that sold land to a developer that built really nice houses, but did not update their hotel to match the neighborhood. The TV is at least 30 years old. Service and staff was great."

"My wife and I stayed Sunday through Friday. The location was perfect for our day trips/hiking/horseback riding to Blackwater Falls State Park; the Albert Falls, Teresa Falls, Douglas Falls hike near Thomas; Dolly Sods Wilderness; Seneca Rocks; and eating in Davis and Canaan Valley. The hotel was very clean and everyone was friendly. We would stay there again."

"We were very pleased about the property. One concern the ice machine, on the floor near the lobby, was not working. The agent at the front desk was okay. Had some answers to our questions but others nothing. Example: The TV was not working. He offered to move us but we were settled in. He then gave us the password and when used it the TV worked fine. Other then that things were wonderfull. Charles and Phyllis Clifford"
