"Everything - great location!"

"Great staff and excellent breakfast. This hotel is conveniently located to tourist sites but currently the street, Las Ramblas, is doing a tremendous amount of construction. It is loud during daytime hours. Also, the subway station is close by and you will hear rumbling but it did not bother me. "

"Loved the experience. The staff were extremely helpful and the roof terrace and pool with lovely views over the city and surrounding area had lots of restaurants to choose from all reasonable in price with lots of choice. Definitely planning a return visit "

"Excellent all around. Location is good-3 blocks from the beach. Easy Taxi access. Only downside was the pool, it is really meant for about 12 people comfortably. Another 8 could work around the tables. For a hotel of this size and excellence it should be larger."

"Clean room, helpful staff! "

"Two adults and a toddler staying in a family room. Small room but big enough for the amount of time we stayed in our room. Shower gel & hairdryer available in room. Powerful shower. Cleaner serviced room each day but this was really to make the bed so we opted out of this. We asked for clean towels each day at reception. The air conditioning was not on & I was told it was out of season (April). If I was hot, I had to open the window. Window only opened so far & it was quite noisy through the night on the Saturday (less so on the Sunday & Monday). Cleaner closed the window when servicing the room therefore on our return the room was very hot. Few toys in reception area entertained my son. Didn’t eat breakfast as we sampled local cafes. Didn’t use pool area. Bar area in reception was nice."

"We stayed at the Eurostars Grand Marina for six nights. We loved the location of the hotel, the room was good (even though slightly outdated), and the staff was overall attentive and professional. However, our otherwise positive experience was completely ruined by the catastrophic noise insulation toward the hallway and particularly toward the neighboring room, something mentioned also in a few other reviews. We arrived late afternoon and could hear the TV from the other room as if it was in our room. And whenever someone passes in the hallway, the door to the hallway seems to work like an amplifier and not like a noise barrier. A main issue in our room (443) was the connecting door to the next room. We asked for a room change next day, but the staff told us the hotel was full. The last night was then truly unbearable - it really felt as if people were in our room and not next door. I have stayed in a good number of USD200-300 per-night hotels in the last 10 years in the US and Europe, but never had such a truly terrible experience. So I would say that if you are not at all noise-sensitive and love to hear every word from people on the hallway and next room, and you also don't care at all about your privacy and love it when other people can hear 100% of everything you say and do, then this hotel is for you. Otherwise, I would stay away. I sent an email to the duty manager but was "informed" that this is a "structural" problem, so nothing they can do."
