This hotel is in a really nice location. There is a mix of great local and western food places around it, and a subway station just over the road. 15 minutes walk (or one subway stop) up the road is Taikang road, one of the should-do tourist stops in Shanghai. They are also a ton of great resturants in the shopping mall above the station there. The hotel staff were very friendly, spoke great English, and didn't bother us unless we needed them. The breakfast was acceptable, nothing grand but better than many other more locally focused hotels we stayed in. You'll have more fun heading down to the local breakfast places by the subway station however.

Nice Location and great Service!

During the summer holidays we spent 2 weeks in Shanghai. We had a 2 bedroom apartment in Somerset. The location of the hotel is good, you can reach everything in a short time by taxi or the nearby metro. The apartment was very well furnished. The kitchen was fully equipped and also the washing machine was very practical. The fitness center was fine. I especially want to mention the great service at the reception. We had forgotten something in the room and only noticed it after 2 weeks. "Magic Zahng" helped us and sent it to us by mail. The only negative point we would like to mention is breakfast. The buffet was small and offered no variety.

Nice apartment to stay in Shanghai

I am totally satisfied with my stay at Somerset Xu Hui Shanghai, due to my flight delayed arrival, but the staffs there are very nice to arrange my request to my room. It was raining last week in Shanghai, but I found out the staffs there are doing their best to support my transfer to exhibition ground with taxi. I do appreciate for whatever they did for me. Recommend try this apartment and you will know it all.

Improvement

The door keys needed to fix three times at the reception. And I found some rubbishes under my beds. Overall, staff there are nice and helpful. The room is comfortable.

It is a great place for us as we stay in as a family, we can watch out for one another especially when we have elderly with us. The unit consists of living, dinning and kitchen which was great! My second visit and I am enjoying my stay there. Friendly staffs too 👍
