But to honor the name, furniture in the rooms needs to be updated and better maintained, and staff at the restaurants should be better trained and have more experience (though Ariana was very nice and attentive). "The Hotel was absolutely lovely. The staff, food. Cleanliness, pool. Nicely located, although we did have a car, we could also walk to Portese. Would recommend and would return again."

"Accommodation basic but clean and had what we needed - bear in mind that you’ll need to pay to hire sheets and towels if not bringing them. Pool was good and site right next to Lake Garda, near the beach and a couple of bars. We enjoyed a few days there."

"A truly special place. The staff are incredible and genuinely can’t do enough for you. The facilities are excellent, the rooms are lovely and very well maintained, and the free spa access is a fantastic bonus. The spa was also very quiet during our stay. The sun loungers on the lake are fantastic, with very attentive lifeguards who even move your umbrella to make sure you stay shaded. The thermal pool is lovely too. The breakfast is very comprehensive, with a great selection of hot and cold food, hot drinks, as well as the option to order eggs exactly how you like them. The location is excellent, right outside the entrance to the historic centre. It’s also close to bus routes, making it very easy to get around, including getting to Verona. 10/10 experience. If we return to Lake Garda, we will certainly stay here again."
