"We needed a place as a departure point for day trips to the Sunrise area at Mount Rainier, and Alta Crystal fit our needs perfectly. We have no complaints about our stay; the only thing I down-graded in the review is the property maintenance overall: in the room, there was a broken window mechanism in the bedroom, pots/pans in the kitchen were very worn out, there was a frayed, dirty easy chair in the sitting area. None of these things were that much of a problem for us, but when booking you should know you're paying for the convenience upgrade over camping in the area and there just aren't many competing options. You will have limited nearby grocery options without going all the way to Enumclaw; make your plan about what you need for the kitchen and bring it with you."
"The room is newly remodeled. It’s a great choice to stay for Mount Rainier national park. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean. My only complaint is that although the hardwood floors are beautiful they don’t absorb noise. Because of this you can hear everyone walking down the halls and sound carries quite a bit. Carpet is a better choice for noise but I understand the durable choice. Just be aware you want to bring ear plugs."
"We were running late checking in, they were great on waiting for us. Cabin looked just like the picture. Needed to be cleaned alittle more. Cobwebs in corners, drawers had hair and food in them. They had dish network for TV, it kept going out, the guy at front desk would unplug it and plug back in to get to work. I had take a shower and then used microwave it kept blowing the breaker. The guy said needed to wait 20 minutes after using shower cause of water heater. It is right outside of national park. Very friendly and helpful."
"Our private cabin was good, the shower was excellent. The staff were nice when we passed by them. Didn't really have any need for direct communication with them with contactless registration and check-out. Convenient to the Nisqually park entrance."
