"On the positive side, the hotel common areas and room were very clean and the breakfast was fantastic. The location is nice and is set on a hill looking over the town. The bed was super comfortable and we slept very well. On the not so great side, there was no staff member present for about 10 minutes when trying to check in. Further, for what we paid, I would have expected something better than the small, old tv in the room. For the price we paid for one night you could double the size and quality of the tv. There were also only very limited channel selections. Also, as a Gold member, I would have hoped for an upgrade to a better view as we overlooked the roof and not much more. We stayed at 5 different Fosshotels in Iceland and this is the only one that we had mixed feelings on. Mostly because we feel that we overpaid for what should be a mid range hotel. Particularly when compared to other Fosshotels."
