Not tolerant of a little noise
We were there with our sons hockey team. Hotel had to be 90+% occupancy just frilom the two hockey teams staying there, yet they were non tolerant of any noise from the kids. They kicked the parents out of the lobby. Just doesn't seem smart considering you are almost exclusively booked with the families you are hassling. Also, had two rooms. Planned on having my kids stay in the second room. Was told upon check-in when I asked if they could be close by eqch other "the rooms are already assigned." No apology, no further explanation. Also, loaded up the luggage cart and walked aimlessly searching for the elevator, while the front desk guy ignored us. Keep in mind he just checked us in to a second floor room. Finally I asked if they had an elevator. "Nope" was all I got.

Our stay was great,as was the room and the location of the hotel. Friendly staff, but did note lots of sand,gravel and other debree in the hallways.

The hot water in the shower, in my room, did not work. I was not given any compensation for my inconvenience. I think that is a big deal. Couldn’t take a shower. Let me know if I can get a discount or free room?

Slow check in, we were acknowledged quickly, but something else was of higher importance to check the only guests in. The hotel was clean and tidy with lots of towels in the pool area. Room was comfortable but needs a good clean in the hard to reach/see areas. The breakfast was good and the front counter gal was quick to clean tables and keep things looking great. Overall a nice stay with small details to fix to make this a really great place.

Very clean and nice staff. Room phone to call front desk not working. TV cable 2nd night not working in our room. Front desk tried to help. Did receive a partial credit. Breakfast options very limited. We were given room with adjoining door. Wedding in hotel. Party in next room up most night throwing up and heard all coming under adjoining door.

The staff during our stay really went above and beyond for us. Check in was pleasant and easy, room and bed were comfortable and clean, rate was reasonable for the amenities offered. My only suggestion would be to offer more bread-free options for breakfast. We stayed two nights and were very happy. One of the nights, the hot tub wasn't hot at all, so we asked the evening receptionist about it and she found out how to adjust it as soon as she could. She was very friendly, helpful, and allowed us to stay in the pool area a little past the usual closing time since we weren't able to enjoy the hot tub like we anticipated. We greatly appreciated her quality customer service our whole stay!

Sleepy Eye in No Mans' Land...
Well, let me start by saying that I thought Sleepy Eye was the name of the hotel! Nope!?! It is actually a town not in the area that I needed to stay but I went because it was paid for. It looked new but it was not. Housekeeping did not do a good job of cleaning the bathrooms, there was loads of hair in the tub/shower. The beds were made but the pillows had an unpleasant scent.

This was the second time I have stayed at this AmericInn in the last two weeks. My complaint is the rudeness of other guests. Guests that are retirement age that have conversations in the hallways after 11PM with no thoughts of others sleeping or in this instance are up at 6AM and are as loud as can be talking in their rooms.
