"Everyone was extremely nice and helpful. I really enjoyed the tour I received from the cart driver (I totaly forgot her name, but I do remember she met her husband there and has been volunteering there for many years) She has a passion for the place and after the tour I could see why. Grounds had everything you would need to make your overnight stay or week long stay memorable and relaxing. I was able to fish off the dock, watch the young adults play home run derby on the ball field and enjoy a great dinner at the restaurant. Was a little concerned about no TV and no AC in the room. Room was a little hot during the day, but with everything there is to do, why stay inside. Night time, I put the fan in the window, turned the ceiling fan on and slept like a baby. I was only there for 1 night, but would go back again. Maybe next time for a little longer."
"The food at the hotel was great. Very friendly staff. Pool was great. Very old. Floors were a bit creaky. The bathroom was okay. The bathtub was very old fashioned. Be careful when getting out. It is dangerous, I almost tripped. Warning the bathtub is very steep. The cold water knob was loose so they had to fix it in the bathtub. That was the only downside. Overall the hotel was a great stay. Very peaceful. Breakfast not the greatest. Go to Mae's place, right outside near the hotel. That place has eggs, bacon, waffle, french toast, pancakes. The good breakfast you want with fresh Vermont pure maple syrup. A few doors down there is a gourmet place where you can get great coffee. There chai latte is great. The pizza is amazing. The food in Vermont is not very salty compared to NYC. I enjoyed my stay for sure and I had stayed an extra day. Would definitely go back. Just wish the bathtub and shower were more modern. Overall the hotel is beautiful and well maintained."
"My husband and I decided to take a last-minute trip to Lake George, and staying at Waters Edge Lodge was one of the best decisions we could have made!
From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed. The staff was exceptional, especially Andrue and Mike, who went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and made us feel right at home.
The location is absolutely perfect—situated right between downtown Lake George and Bolton Landing, making it easy to explore both areas while still enjoying a peaceful retreat.
Our room was cozy, clean, and comfortable, and the private beach was such an amazing bonus. We loved being able to relax by the water without the crowds. We would have like if the rentals were included with our stay.
The entire property has such a quiet, relaxing atmosphere, making it the perfect place to unwind. If you’re looking for a beautiful, peaceful place on Lake George with outstanding hospitality, Waters Edge Lodge is the place to stay!"
