"This is a cracking flat within a short walk of Dumfries town centre. From the outside, the flats don’t look too inspiring, but it’s clearly been renovated recently and it’s been done really nicely. The two rooms are pretty much identical doubles, and the living room/kitchen is a good size. Nice views of the river from most rooms, and a lovely small balcony coming off the main living area. Would definitely come back if in the area."

The hotel was really nice built in the 17 hundreds nice n clean staff exceptionally helpful and very friendly we required a disabled room there was stairs into hotel which I could manage then once in everything on the level room was lovely with lots of space and had a wetroom with rails to hold onto and the choice of 2 different shower heads to use the meals were really good would highly recommend it

Rooms are separate from the main building and so are quiet and private. The room was large and comfortable and the bed was very large. The staff are the owners and were very friendly and helpful. We had booked dinner and it was amazing although there is no choice of menu. There was a choice for breakfast which was freshly prepared and excellent. We would definitely stay there again if we are in the area.

We return to the forge after 10year .this is where we got married and I was still as wonderful. And not far from the centre of Gretna . We had dinner in the restaurant there and the food was delicious and lots of it .We returned back to out room to find a bottle of bubbles to celebrate our 10th wedding Anniversary compliments from the Mill..And breakfast was a full Scottish breakfast and very nice .The staff then and now are still amazing always smiling and helpful.
