Wonderful location, easy walking to historical centre, attractions, ferry and thermal spa yet quiet and away from crowds. Fabulous breakfast included with good variety and attractive breakfast room surroundings. Beautiful pool, loungers, and outside spaces. Small improvements would include replacement of some room patio awnings and main stairway carpet. Very helpful reception desk staff and breakfast staff. Overall very pleased with our stay.

Hotel was in a great location for old town, only issue we had was walking with our luggage through old town to get there as only certain cars are allowed in. Fortunately at the end of our stay we found one that collected us from the hotel. Room was good. Staff friendly. Breakfast good. Overall we had a lovely stay and would stay there again

The location was perfect. It costs about $40 euro to get to the hotel from the train station. Finding a cab was tough until I realized sirmiotaxi is the best company to call.

Lovely hotel in a quieter part of Sirmione old town. Easy walking distance to town and to Jamaica beach. Staff were great, breakfast was excellent. The pool looked lovely but we didn’t use it as so much to see and do outside the hotel. We used Griffo parking which was quite expensive via the hotel, but couldn’t book it any other way. The only negative I have is that they don’t have an iron and you have to pay for laundry at €4 per item. Was not expecting that.

The hotel is situated in the old town on the peninsula of Sirmione, just enough out of the town for some peace and quiet. Sirmione is very busy during the day. The hotel and pool were really nice, the hotel is a good base to tour the rest of the lake. The staff ate very friendly and helpful. Its about a 10 to 15 min walk from the castle. The only downside is that if you arrive on a Sunday and don't pay for parking (we came on the train from spending a few days in Venice) there are traffic restrictions in place. We got to Sirmione about 3.30pm had to queue up to get through the castle and then drag our large suitcases up to hotel, we had to ask for directions, it was boiling hot and very busy. It would have been a struggle if we weren't able. It seems ridiculous that you cant use the shuttle which is available because you came on the train. I would have paid to use it. This was the only downside.

Even though the temperature in early October was still warm. T-shirt and shorts weather the hotel had turned the air con off so over night you simply melted in the rooms. Open the doors to the balcony cooled the room but come 5am the deliveries for the area started. The noise of banging and reversing beeps awful!!! Overall the staff were lovely hotel needs work though

We enjoyed our stay at hotel Desiree. However the balcony floor and table had not been cleaned (and where not during our 4 day stay) and we missed having wine glasses on our room. The minibar was not filled and we missed being able to order at the pool without having to go inside. The breakfast had what we needed and the beds, although they where quite hard, where nice. One thing we absolutely did not like was that the staff cleaning the rooms put our things away in drawers (different places every day), moved my skin care products, closed my toilet bag etc. But overall, a nice stay that we enjoyed. All things to fix are small and very manageble. We would come back!
