Next to the Levi Fell there is Sirkka village, which has grown from a sleepy little place, to the year-round skiing and hiking centre of Lapland's heartland.
Sirkka belongs to the municipality of Kittilä and is perhaps unknown to many. However, when you mention Levi, thoughts move to the snowy ski slopes. Book a winter trip to Sirkka for excellent winter sport activities involving skis, snowboards or even kick-sledding. Go to the Levi ski slopes to hurtle down the fells on either demanding “black” routes or merciful “blue” routes. There are a total of 43 slopes to choose from.
For Sirkka, you can safely leave the whole family, as even little novice skiers have suitable landing spots in Levi's Kids Land. There is also a Leevilandia on offer, with controlled fun things to do for children. Next to the ski slopes, there is the possibility of childcare services, if you want to pursue the more advanced ski trails by yourself. Sirkka easily provides a relaxing holiday, which includes both the fun of being together, as well as the opportunity for family members to follow their own schedule.

During the short summer in Lapland Sirkka, you can experience the stunning surrounding nature trails. Levi has both nature excursions for those on foot or longer journeys with fell hikes, Levi fell has several marked trails on the slopes, such as the High Path and the Great Witch Päiviö Path, where along the way signs tell you about the local nature and history. The challenge is to get beyond, by starting with a hike to the Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park leading paths. Lapland nature shows another side when autumnal colours are in bloom. As such, you can head to Sirkka and Levi at any time of the year.
Levi rightly attracts tourists all year round, so you should set your course for Sirkka through Kittilä airport or the Kolari train station, for example.
