Dear Anonymous,
We have noted your concern about the bedding and would like to point out that a 6 inch mattress is far more than minimum. The bed sheets and pillows we provide are standard and designed for the hot climate here in the Philippines. Guests are always welcome to ask for thicker linen if needed. Furthermore, it is always helpful to close all windows when operating the A/C, which is the most frequent occurrence we witness on a regular basis.
Until now, all our guests (incl. German, French, Austrian, Swiss, Filipino, Italian, Swedish, etc.) incl. long-term guests who stayed with us for 3-4 weeks praised our breakfast buffet as rich and varied. Every day there is an alternating offer of:
- breads of all kinds (white, rye, whole wheat, braid, bread rolls, croissants, whole wheat and white toast, sweet pastries, cakes, etc.).
- eggs to order (fried, scrambled, omelet, soft boiled)
- rice in alternate ways
- corned beef, ham, spam, sausage, tocino and chorizo
- cold cuts, salami, smoked ham, bacon, meat loaf, assorted cheeses, jams and other spreads like peanut butter, nutella, cheese spreads
- waffles, pancakes, crepes
- cornflakes, cereals, granola, fruits, yogurt, milk, honey, maple syrup, etc.
- coffee, various teas, various juices, detox water, etc.
A basic cheap Filipino breakfast would be 1 egg, rice, bacon, coffee.
A basic European breakfast would be 1 bread, butter, marmelade, coffee. Hence, we are not sure what kind of "upgrade" you wish...
