The property was well situated but the steps to and from the beach are not for the weak or faint hearted. If you have health issues or weak feet, legs, hips you should look for another location. The staff is friendly and the owner is hands on. Working with new divers and greeting guests. No food or drinks are allowed on the property, you must buy theirs and snacking is very limiting. They took good care of introducing my fiance to diving. I would like to come back to dive again, but will probably look for an easier pathway to get to the beach.

Being partially handicapped I didn't like that there was nothing in the advertisement that the site is completely inaccessible for people with disabilities. Also I ordered and paid for a room with a queen size bed and got put into a room with two single beds with low quality mattresses.

Hi William, As the property is located in an area with only hills, we did not have another options for building the bungalows aside from how the way it is.We understand that some older people, kids, or even adults may have difficulties to take the steeps but those isn't new since we have received a lot of reviews where you can read in the internet as Easy diving is well-known for it.Additionally, We have 2 kinds of Deluxe Bungalows;1.Deluxe (twin bed) - lowest location/situated at the back of the restaurant/near to the beach..2. Deluxe (Queen bed)- garden view though a bit far from the restaurant/beach..Apparently, you arrived in the night and seeing you having difficulty with the steps, we provided you the Deluxe with twin bed and located on lower location.On the next day, we offered you a bungalow as per according to your booking (Deluxe Queen Bed)though you already decided to check-out right after you wake-up without giving us a proper chance for an options that will make your stay enjoyable. My apologies if the location/amenities of the resort made your stay uncomfortable.

When we arrived it was raining. The parking attendant helped me back up my car(was not necessary), but nobody helped us with our luggage down an extremely long and steep staircase(in the rain). Then we were sat down to tell us there rules and services they could sell us. We were then released so we could walk up the long wet stairs(without help to carry our luggage) to rest after a long drive. Would also be helpful to fill out the hotel form for your guests after the guest presents there passport or ID with the pertinent information.

My partner (girlfriend) and I had a three-week stay here. I completed 33 dives and was most satisfied with the service of the dive team. The dive shop is well organized, the banka (boat) crew is attentive and the dive guides are friendly and provide safe dives. Our room was kept clean, and linen changed regularly. Breakfast was provided with our room package and was of sufficient portion to most days, see me through to a late afternoon dinner. All meals were well prepared, tasty, reasonable cost and again, of generous portion. The wait staff is friendly, and we were greeted each time we entered the restaurant. When there was an early morning dive, the restaurant opened early so we could have breakfast before departure. The security team is ever present but rarely seen. Before our arrival we were told the airport shuttle fee to the resort from Bacolod airport was no longer P4800 but P6000. I see it’s still posted on their Expedia page as P4800. No complaint, just be advised. All other fees were as posted. My partner’s comment: “We had so much fun.”

A precious gem, a must on your 'to-visit' list
This resort is a gem, something small and precious. We do a fair bit of travelling so we know somewhere is special when we find it. Easy Diving is perfect for people who are looking for a high quality resort away from the crowds, where you are looked after, and can enjoy amazing coral reefs, without having to pay a ridiculous price. From the moment we arrived at the airport we were looked after by Christian and the team. Food and drinks were great, and the house reef was stunning, easily accessible by swimming or the good quality SUP/paddleboards available at the resort. The PADI dive centre was excellent, with wonderful staff and wonderful sites. We did a day trip to Danjugan marine reserve too which was well worth the trip. We will definitely be returning.

Weekend in Sipalay
This was a last minute weekend away to visit my fiancees family. The resort is nice. Staff very friendly. The food at the restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. As other restaurants were far we chose to eat dinner at the resort. Free breakfast was also good. A nice beach that was fairly clean. It is about 7.5 km from Sipalay. Far from any conveniences As other reviews state, the resort bungalos are on the side of a mountain. Many steps going to the upper bungalos. Rather steep climb Not for elderly or people with bad health. Plus there are no handrails and the steps are steep and poorly lighted at night. A little dangerous even for healthy people. The First night when we returned to our room and wanted a shower before sleeping we discovered hot water heater was not working. It was a little late around 9:30 pm. Staff was reluctant to provide resolution and didnt want to move us to another bungalo until i insisted. They gave excuses ie no maintenance staff, said heater was working earlier. In Several other rooms water heater not working also. After 1 hr of my prodding they relocated us. But other than that problem it was a nice stay.

We loved the staff, housekeeping, restaurant and diving. Things to know are that there was never wifi in the room. Sipalay internet goes down. This place is on the side of a mountain and so there are many many steps up to the rooms. Mine had 50 steps and the steps are double high compared to the states. So we were on a stair stepper each time. But it did build up our muscles :) . Good to know if you are a bit arthritic or mature. haha

This is a good place to stay. It’s really quiet and peaceful. The food is good and reasonable priced, so we just stayed there for our meals. We only stayed 3 days, next time we will stay longer as this is a hidden gem in Sipalay.

We had a good and relaxing time. The bedroom and bathroom were very comfortable but we had problems with the air conditioning, it kept turning off all the time. The food could be improved too. Very clean and beautiful! We enjoyed it!

The staff provided exceptional service and were very responsive to our needs. The resort is located on a hillside and requires climbing stairs. Otherwise, the beach area and water activities are very accessible. We enjoyed the restaurant on the beach, where you can watch amazing sunsets while you dine.

PROS: The staff was absolutely amazing...from the reception staff, restaurant staff, dive team, and housekeeping staff...ALL were just fantastic. Restaurant had excellent food at a very reasonable price. Rooms were clean and comfortable with min fridge and bar. Ocean was beautiful. Snorkeling and scuba diving also excellent. CONS: Sorry to have anything negative to say but from the car park to the Reception area there are maybe 200 steps and then getting to your room approximately 100 or more steps. This is not a place for anyone in a wheel chair or with walking disabilities. That said when we complained because I am 69 years old and steps were not my friend the staff gave us a lower room as soon as it was available. Just be aware of the steps if you stay here. The only other problem we had were black ants in the first room that were tolerable but annoying. WE WILL BE BACK AND WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND EASY DIVING AND BEACH RESORT!!

Quiet retreat
Really good location for the beach and scenic for an evening meal. Lots to offer for diving and other activities, which we did not uptake as just wanted to relax, but staff were very attentive and friendly. Only slight quibble would be that on one night the evening meal was limited to a set menu, with option of pizza or pastas, so if you don't like the choices may need to visit an alternative. the food was however very delicious! Would visit again 😊

Outstanding place! Friendly staff, delicious food and the beach is really clean here. Lots of activities can be coordinated through the staff there as well as rides to and from Sipalay City proper which is also convenient.

Highly overrated and misleading resort
Upon our arrival and despite security notifying staff of our arrival, no one appeared to help carry our luggage down the steep stairs to check-in. The accommodations were good, rooms clean, and the air conditioning worked well, however the tap water was like it was drawn from a sewer hole and I was hesitant to shower in it. Potable water came at a cost of 8 pesos per glass, 30 pesos for bottled water, and there were NO amenities whatsoever except for shampoo and body soap. No coffee nor coffee pot in the rooms, and a cup of coffee cost 95 pesos, roughly $2.00. The meals were highly over-priced, and as a means to deter people from bringing their own snacks and having to pay for their pricey meals, a sign hanged at the top of the hill, "No food or drinks allowed". When I complained to the owner, he claimed the prices were high so he could pay all of his 97 staff members. I might add that we were the only guests there at the resort, so evidently word has spread about the costliness of this so-called "resort". In the rooms where complimentary coffee and water should have been, was a fully-stocked refrigerator with beer, juice, and bottled water with some things marked up as high as 400%. In a basket on the counter were two bottles of cheap liquor, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and crackers one can buy in the market for 5 pesos.....their price, 90 pesos! We stayed for 3 of the 4 days we paid for through Expedia, but left because we refused to be gouged anymor

Beautiful place but poor service
Directions to hotel provided by hotels.com are incorrect. You can drive to the location and do not need to take a boat. Upon arrive the registration is confusing. There are no signs and you have to hike all the was to the restaurant on the beach to find anyone. The host had a sour disposition and we didn't feel that welcomed - lots of rules. She also made a rude comment to us at check out. Instead of a 'what can we do for you' attitude it was more 'what can we do for them' included a very petty request to move our car out of the shade so they could park there. The island hopping tour they arranged was lame and the guide couldn't speak English or communicate what we were doing that day. The rest of the staff was excellent and friendly and called you by your name.

I love the local people and their local staffs. Very friendly and efficient. The rooms are nice, BUT you have to have good knees to be able to climb those rooms, they are all in the hillside and very steep stairs. The worst part is their restaurant charging you for water 8 pesos a glass. I posted comments on trip advisor, and their management was so quick to defend. Referring their place to a Bently and me looking for service at Kia! Weeh!

It is a diver's resort. The restaurant and the office is down there, meaning A lot of steps to reach the office/restaurant from the parking lot, about 150 to 200 feet roughly, not for the "older" population. Staff are excellent, restaurant food was not terrible, I think their breakfast menu was better than dinner.

Since the moment we arrived we were greated with friendly faces. We had a pleasant stay and had a great time scuba diving. The food at the restaurant was good and reasonably priced. The only downside is the flights of stairs you need to get to your room (upwards of 70 in the room highest up). We will definitely be back.

water on floor when entering room, ants all over in room and bathroom. no tv. no phone? how do you contact anyone? room was like a 50 stair climb from reception, bar and beach. its advertised that free wifi, not. 10 hours free but not in room you have to go to bar area for it. a false advertisement. ended up leaving after 3 hours and I have not been refunded.

Hotel too far from anything.......1. Entered room n water on floor from refrigerated, ants all across headboard of bed n all over in bathroom. 2. No phone in room????? to call house keeping or room service, room was like a ninety stair climb from outside to office n reception n beach. No tv in room????? Free wifi???? 10 hours is what they give you n you have to go to the bar to get it. Can't get in room....this place was all about money n not trying to accomdate their guest..I wouldn't refer this place to anyone, oh we left after only being there 3 hours. Still waiting to see if I get my three days refunded back to me. How could hotels.com even offer such a place to stay .

Nice resort.
I enjoyed my stay here. It did not have a pool, but the beach was clean, the restaurant / bar area was nice and was perfect for a getaway for a couple. It was more European style and I liked that. I did not mind climbing the steps to the cottages on the hillside because I like the excercise anyway. I wish they had a bigger gift shop with t shirts, and essentials like shaving cream which I could not find anywhere in the Philippines. The staff was very friendly and the ambiance was excellemt. Because the price is really good, I am rating this 4.5 if I could rate it only because I think all resorts should sell essentials on a small section of their gift shop.

nice beachfront hotel.
enjoyed our stay however room amenities of what they call "Deluxe Bungalow" is basic. The mini bar was fully stocked with good variety of items but there was no coffee facilities. Bathroom floor becomes flooded each time you shower, hot water system turns off every now and then while showering, basin clogs when you brush your teeth.

Surprisingly good
Easy diving resort is a decent place to stay in Sipalay. My sister with her family and I stayed there for 2 nights. The welcome coconut drinks made us feel welcome. The staff are nice and friendly and the beach is surprisingly clean and blue. A lot of European tourists stayed in the hotel as I noticed. Because a lot of guests stayed on that day, they served us a buffet breakfast but not the following day when most of the guests left the resort.

Nice beach, not so good location.
The facilities were very well taken care of and the resort was right on the beach. the food was grate. only concern I had was the resort is located on a steep hill, meaning lots of stairs between the rooms and the rest of the resort. also they didn't have any queen sized beds in the standard rooms.

Vacation in paradise
Easy Diving and Beach Resort was all that I expected and more. I was expecting an experience similar to Boracay, with beautiful beaches, nice hotels, and lots of fun things to do, but with the downside of being very crowded. Sipalay delivers on all of what Boracay has to offer minus the crowds. The room was amazing, the beach was warm and calm, and there were lots of fish to see. The restaurant has very nice helpful staff, and delicious food!

Ok, aber in meinen Augen überbewertet und die lange Anreise nicht wert! Die Anlage ist nett angelegt. Am Hang gebaut und man muss aufgrund der vielen Treppen gut zu Fuß sein. Die Zimmer sind ok. Mehr aber nicht. Einfach und zweckmäßig, was ok ist. Leider recht abgewohnt und arg schlicht. Das Personal ist bis auf einige wenige Ausnahmen sehr freundlich und bemüht. Das Restaurant ist ansprechend und optisch sehr einladend. Das Essen ist gut, die Preise sind für philippinische Verhältnisse allerdings sehr hoch. Beilagen kosten extra - und nicht zu knapp… sogar einfacher Reis ist bei keinem der Gerichte dabei. Schade. Der Tauchbetrieb ist gut organisiert. Die Dive Guides sind super und extrem bemüht. Die Tauchplätze sind allerdings extrem unspektakulär. Vor allem für erfahrene Taucher, vermutlich aber auch für Taucher mit weniger Erfahrung. Und von den etwa 40 angeschlagenen Plätzen wird nur ein Bruchteil angefahren. Wiederkommen werde ich nicht mehr. Das Resort ist zu weit ab vom Schuss, die Anreise sehr aufwändig. Einen Roller konnte man nicht leihen. der, den es gibt, wurde nicht verliehen. Massage wurde nicht angeboten, weil die eine Masseurin krank sei. Kein Nitrox mehr (obwohl auf der Website) for free… usw… So haben sich für viele Kleinigkeiten angesammelt und zu viele ‘Neins’ verteilt. Vieles hätte man ganz leicht, unkompliziert und zur Zufriedenheit der Gäste lösen können.
