"Clean room, accommodating staff "

"Check-in was smooth and easy, which I appreciated. However, the cleanliness of the room was very disappointing. The towels in the bathroom were in poor condition, and my daughter had to request a bed change because there were hairs on the sheets and the comforter appeared dirty inside. Additionally, I experienced some bites during my stay that I suspect may have been from bed bugs, which is very concerning—especially given that the property is relatively new. We also had to request a refill for the conditioner, which should have been taken care of without needing to ask. The breakfast was overpriced for the quality of food offered, which added to the overall disappointment. I also want to mention that we tipped the housekeeping staff a total of $65 over our 5-night stay, as we genuinely appreciate their work. Overall, while the check-in process was fine, the lack of cleanliness and these issues significantly impacted our stay. "

"This place has potential however it’s in need of direction and proper management. It has nice architecture, a nice main pool with two side pools. The beach is private and protected by a sea break wall. Relatively clean as employees were constantly cleaning and picking up. The buffets were nice however the specialty restaurants ambiance, service and food are subpar. Think beach cabana for a Sicilian “Restaurant” or picnic tables in a hedged off area for a BBQ “restaurant”. At one, the server didn’t bring water or our drink order. After several requests, we got our own at the pool bar. It’s nearly impossible to get reservations. We were told all were completely booked as soon as the app opened. We needed a supervisors intervention to get reservations. Speaking of management, only two were willing to assist us: Ali the Bellman and Sven, a supervisor. The rest of the staff would give inaccurate or opposing answers. Check-in is 4pm - two out of three rooms for our group were not ready. Our expectations of a Hilton “resort” property were not met. While beach chairs and umbrellas were available - chairs under a Palapa were an extra charge. Night entertainment was meh. Not many activities. My advice - make your own fun - rent a car or take an excursion. Dont rely on the Mangrove to be your all-inclusive for excitement or dining experiences."

"Great location, great staff, close to downtown, shopping and restaurants. "

"IL Mare is the private section for all the beach bungalows. The rest of the resort is not allowed over there. It has 24 hour butler service. It was the most amazing trip we’ve taken. The shoreline is a reef and full of tropical fish for snorkeling. The bartenders and butlers were amazing over there. This is a little bit smaller of a resort and was so relaxing and chilled out. If you want a crazy 24 hour party, this is not the resort for you. There was always activity, but you could go and sit and relax and have it quiet around you any time of day. so much food and drink options. We felt we needed to stay more than one week so we could experience all the different food on the menu. If you’re going to this resort, spend the money and stay in the bungalows. It is worth every single penny. You will leave with absolutely no regret. 24hr room service. We rented a car and drove into the downtown. Was easy. ABC rentals dropped the car off right in the parking lot for us and picked it up from there. We literally had nothing to worry about the entire week. The worst part about this resort is having to leave at the end of your vacation. It was heartbreaking to leave because we had the best time."

"While the location and surroundings were great, the unit itself could use improvement. First, the living room and patio furniture consists entirely of metal-framed IKEA chairs/loveseats with thin cushions... not particularly comfortable or great for relaxing in after a warm day at the beach/pool (ie no large cushioned sofas as pictured). We were told there would be a change of bed linen mid-week but this did not occur. We would have appreciated a brochure or document left in the unit outlining details such as how to access the wifi quickly/easily (we figured it out eventually), where to dispose of garbage, a physical map of the premises/nearby facilities, etc. Finally, and most importantly, since arriving we've noticed an unpleasant odour emanating from each bathroom. We left the bathroom doors open each day hoping it was a temporary issue but it was not until today that we realized the source of the smell was the wall-mounted toilet brush holder in each bathroom. Not sure if cleaning/sterilizing of the brushes/containers is done between bookings but it certainly should be. We were told there would be a change of linens mid-week but this did not occur. We would have appreciated a brochure or document left in the unit outlining details such as how to access the wifi quickly/easily (we figured it out eventually), where to dispose of garbage, a physical map of the premises/nearby facilities, etc."

"The overall vibe of the hotel and location was perfect. Very friendly staff and nice welcoming gifts and details. The only thing I missed was a TV in the room but I understood afterwards that it is part of the concept of the hotel. And although my room said to be partially ocean view, this was a minimum but on the otherhand really enjoyed the lounge areas by the pool and sea."

"If it's your first time to Curacao, this is a perfect place to stay. Despite some drawbacks, explained later, the location and overall vibe and amenities make this fantastic place to stay. No regrets! The room was comfortable - beds cozy with nice sheets and duvet, excellent pillow coverage (8 between two beds!! Without asking for extra). The bathroom was extraordinary and honestly on the list of things I miss from vacation. Huge shower. Excellent water flow. The air circulation and assume in floor heat must be pretty stellar because within an hour of three of us all showering the bathroom was completely dry. Air conditioner in the room was perfect, no issues. Slept great. Always a welcomed place to get back to the cool air after being out and about in the gorgeous Curacao heat and sun. WiFi was excellent, no issues three of us using it on our phones. Tv in room worked well, some buffering of Netflix occasionally but basically as good as home. The pool on rooftop is small but there was never anyone in it besides myself and teen daughters so it was perfect place for a quick dip after a day out or midday cooldown. View of Willemstad from that rooftop is unmatched. Go see it for yourself! Staff were kind and personable. No language barriers anywhere on the island and same true for this hotel. We didn't have our room cleaned through the week by choice. Kept it tidy ourselves and swapped out towels once during our week-long stay. One downside is it's loud from 7-12 pm. Earplugs."
