Except for the room having an odor when first stepped in, the shared bathroom facilities are clean and very convenient.

While the place was clean and staff were friendly and helpful, management never replied to my initial email after I’d booked a room asking to have bed on a lower level. I paid extra to have a room with a window; however, accessing the bed via very high narrow modular stairs was an H&S issue. It made my stay very unpleasant as it was too hard to climb up and down as often as I would have like to. Despite instructions, checking in and unlocking my room was also a stressful logistical nightmare. It was, overall, a disappointing experience.

Property was clean and in a great location. However, charged for a single room with en-suite and upon arrival was informed that no rooms in the hotel were en-suite. Shared male/female bathroom, which was on the next floor up and the other side of the building. Check-in app didn't work, luckily member of staff was present. Hotel reception not manned.

Present stay but cigarette smell In public area
During the night, when I went out to a corridor to go toilets, there was very strong cigarette smell . As a non-smoker, I would like to request the hotel management to give warnings to visitors who smoke (maybe) in the room. Aside from above, it was present stay so far.

ST Signature Chinatown is located directly across the street from the Chinatown Food Market - perfect if you're a foodie and want to get the most out of cheap, local cuisine! Chinatown itself is quite central in Singapore, which allowed me to travel easily to the various destinations I wanted to visit! The capsule rooms are clean and cosy, and the bathrooms provide everything you need. In addition, rooms and the bathrooms are cleaned daily. There was virtually no interaction with staff since the property does self check-in. That said, I had a problem loading the check-in page on my browser, but luckily ST Signature has a tablet in their lobby from which I could Skype a staff member who happily checked me in to my room. She was very kind and professional! Overall, this is a perfect home-base for a solo traveller or travel partners who prefer their privacy (although I think there may be double-bed options?). I was much impressed and will definitely consider booking here when I return! Thank you!

Staff were great. As with most places in Singapore, the room was small but the space was used well with plenty of storage. While it isn't in a remarkable area, there are plenty of facilities and transport in easy walking distance.

The location is great, you can take mrt. from airport and get out at Chinatown station, it’s cost only1.95 SGD. Many tourist spots are just in 10 mins walk such as, Sri Mariamman Temple/ The Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum/ Chinatown food street/ etc. A small 7-eleven just opposite to the place. The hotel is perfect for a solo light traveller. The place has no elevator, but the room is nice and clean. Self check-in process is a little bit difficult and may cause trouble for any one that don't read the instruction clearly.

Horrible place, dirty and unfriendly to help when arrived. Long trip arrived to hotel, just to hear that my already paid room has been given away. Didn’t get help to solve the problem. Place anyway looked dirty and uncomfortable. Won’t recommend to anyone.

Perfect hotel for a short stay, ideally located
I've spent 5 nights on ST Signature Chinatown, and I was highly satisfied! It is perfectly located in Chinatown, near MRT stations and lots of restaurants nearby. The room is small but very comfy and has everything you need. Kitchen and bathroom are shared but there are 3 distincts showers so it's always free, and clean. Arrival was smooth, only need to download the app and connect to their wifi, the rest is very easy. Thanks

I got a room with a window, but it was noisy at night because of the traffic and that made me hard to fall asleep even with the window closed. I had to buy earplugs from 7-11 to wear. Otherwise the hotel was pretty decent.
