The good thing about the hotel is its central location. Despite being slightly old, the room can still be considered comfortable and value for money, considering its location.
However, I have serious issues with the staff and services, namely:
- The lack of shower gel; and
- The lacklustre attitude of the staff.
First, housekeeping did not ensure that shower gel was topped up. Second, when I realised there was no shower gel in the dispenser only at midnight, I was informed that housekeeping knocked off at 9-10pm, and there was nothing they could do except provide soap bar for me. Third, after I voiced my displeasure of not getting what I paid for, the room service lied and said that shower gels were not provided in all rooms. This is not logical as there are dispenser in the shower room. Upon checking with the manager at the concierge, it was clarified that the room service staff had lied.
Hotel needs improvement in [1] allowing staff to have access to basic amenities when housekeeping knocks off and [2] conveying to staff the importance of good service, and importantly, do not lie or brush off guests.
