"Great value and excellent location, particularly for public transportation. I have stayed several times. Pub is closed, no food and drinks available, but you’re on Stourbridge High Street, independent cafe near rear access and Greggs + Starbucks near front access, Wetherspoons 5 minutes walk. It’s a medieval building so some bits are wonky or tight. Sometimes a niggle with the cleaning or no new coffee/tea supplies but staff are great and have always sorted satisfactorily. Parking is at rear and can get busy, do not forget to enter car registration in the iPad at front desk, otherwise you’ll be sent a parking charge. 10 minutes walk to Stourbridge bus station (access to Brierley Hill, Merry Hill, Dudley, Birmingham, Wolverhampton and other places), same site is Stourbridge Town rail link to Stourbridge Junction (from SBJ direct trains to Kidderminster, Severn Valley Railway, Worcester, Birmingham, Solihull, Stratford upon Avon regular services plus a few trains a day to/from London Marylebone)."

"I need to pay more attention to what I am booking but this place didnt really feel like a hotel but a conference centre with rooms. But on saying that there were positives which I will start with. Firstly, the staff were brilliant. They couldn't be more helpful and friendly even when I was grumpy. Secondly, breakfast was pretty good. The rooms, as the weekend was a hot one, were cool even without air con. And the bed comfy. Now to the bad points. I am a big guy and the room i was given I could not fit in the shower. The gap in the doors just didnt allow it. To be fair to the hotel staff they swapped out room where the shower cubicle had a proper door and no problems. What I dont get is apparently this is a common complaint with the room we were given. So change the shower cubicle. I would like to point out it wasnt the size of the cubicle just the doors didnt open wide. And lastly its a pet peeve that you have to buzz in and out of the hotel. I just dont see the point and it just makes me fill like I am not trusted. Minor thing as it seems to be creeping into hotels but I hate it. Got to admit the staff saved this review as I was close to blowing my top over the shower."

"Lovely hotel near the Malverns and close to a railway station from where regular direct trains run to Hereford, Ledbury, Malvern and Worcester- handy for day trips. Offered help with luggage on arrival. Room spacious, but some units could do with refresh. Breakfast could be better, with fruit only offered as an alternative to cooked, rather than as well as. Decent cooked to order options though. For dinner, good selection of meats from local farm. The pastry on my pie was overly hard albeit contents very good, and veg could have been cooked better. Pleasant modern bar next to the restaurant. Overall, a pleasant stay and the Malvern Hills are great for a walk with wonderful views in all directions."

"We had a lovely stay the staff on arrival were very friendly and helpful our room was clean and very spacious and the bed was very comfy they had Dove shower gel and shampoo free to use in the bathroom/shower the breakfast was great with also the option to grab and go so we made bacon rolls up to take on the next part of our trip this is my second time to stay at this hotel and I would recommend it there is also a lovley restaurant next door in walking distance that serves great meals and carvery at great prices also parking at the hotel is free 😊"

"I stayed here for one night and barely managed an hour’s sleep. The room I was given was directly above a boiler that kicked in every few minutes throughout the night, making it impossible to rest properly. The most disappointing part was the lack of customer service afterwards. In the morning, I raised the issue with a member of staff who told me the manager would call me back, but that never happened. Very frustrating experience overall and not somewhere I would choose to stay again."
