"Unique property in a quiet location but close to Upopoy Ainu Park and Museum. Awesome architectural features, especially for the outdoor osen facility. A relaxing break from busy tourist spots Sapporo north and Hakkodate south sides. NOT for families with young kids looking for city attractions or ones seeking night life but for couples for romantic getaway or seniors seeking an awesome, relaxing day/night. One of the BEST onsen experiences ever. Worth an overnight stay on way from Sapporo to Hakodate or reverse. Don't be stupid and carry your heavy luggage to here. Carry only day or two essentials and forward heavy luggage to your next stop from your previous hotel instead as transportation option is basically taxi or walk 20 minutes. I don't know why more people don't take advantage of this service."

"The onsen was very nice and well maintained. The buffets were excellent, loved the unlimited crab. The staff was very helpful. The facilities were somewhat dated and there was a smell of mildew. This is likely understandable with the location directly above the onsen. The other issue was the air conditioning in our room. We were there in July and the AC was woefully inadequate. All balanced, the experience was really quite nice and there was good value. The downside was a somewhat deferred upgrade seventies experience."

"Wonderful stay! The staff were all very respectful and welcoming and felt proud to be working there. The rooms were lovely and the onsens were so varied and well maintained. The buffet breakfast was delicious and the food was cooked with care. Overall, a great experience in a fantastic location for sightseeing and with some delicious places to eat nearby (and of course conbini :)."

"Lovely surprise of an accommodation! Everything you needed, tiny home living, extremely clean, great atmosphere and plenty of toiletries. Loved the layout of the bedrooms on either end, giving ample privacy. You could sometimes hear the room next door and their inhabitants moving around, but I guess that is to be expected. And it would have been nice to have some cutlery. Other than that, a very pleasant experience and lots of fun for the kids!"

"Our stay at Lake Toya Nonokaze Resort was absolutely amazing and one of the highlights of our entire trip to Japan. My boys still talk about how much they loved this hotel and everything there was to experience around Lake Toya. The rooms were very large and comfortable, and having a private onsen right in our room overlooking the lake was unforgettable. The views were spectacular, and watching the fireworks show over the lake every night made each evening feel special. The breakfasts and dinners were some of our best memories from the entire stay. The variety and quality of the food were incredible, with different stations preparing fresh dishes right in front of you. From freshly made Japanese souffle pancakes and noodles to local specialties and fresh apple juice, every meal felt like an experience rather than just a hotel buffet. My boys absolutely loved it, and we looked forward to breakfast and dinner every day. There is also so much to experience around the lake. The hotel has E-bikes available, which are a fantastic way to explore the beautiful paths, scenery, artwork, and sculptures surrounding Lake Toya. We took a boat ride across the lake to the island, rode the gondola up Mt. Usu, and hiked while enjoying incredible views of the volcano and surrounding landscape. We also loved discovering the hot springs throughout the town. My family said it was absolutely amazing, and I completely agree. We would return without hesitation."
