Marina Motel
"Pretty bare bones, but safe, clean, and very kind staff. Biggest downer was our view of barbed wire. Good location"
Harborview Inn
"The property was very accessible to shops and the marina. Comfortable and clean. Bring your own coffee and soap"
Breeze Inn
"The room was a motel, with an outside entrance. There was no air conditioning, and we hit a warm couple of days. Our room was hot, and we had to leave the windows open on the ground floor to cool it down. I'm sure it was a safe area, but it was still disconcerting to have open windows at night."
Murphy's Alaskan Inn
"Murphy's was in a great location- right in the middle of Seward within walking distance to both downtown and the harbor. The room we had was on the second floor, overlooking the bay/harbor. There is a park and the bay trail right across the street. The hotel itself was a bit run down. It could definitely be updated. The bathroom fan in our room was not functional, unfortunately. The rooms were just big enough for our family of 4- functional yes, a bit tight at times, too. The lobby downstairs had a Kuerig coffee maker (not in each room) and extra amenities which were helpful (extra soap, maps, trash bags, etc). The staff were very helpful in getting us checked in, but I didn't see (or need) anyone the rest of the trip (we were gone during the days). That being said, we didn't come to Seward to spend time in our motel rooms. Murphy's was in a great location, well priced, and functional for our crew. If you're expecting more than that, you should book elsewhere. One other note that I don't expect Muprhy's to have much control over- During our stay, there were tour buses that used the spaces across the street from the motel for overnight parking. This wasn't much of an issue until about 4:30 or 5 in the morning when they would start the buses and run the diesel engines through a warm up- revving them up and down. Not the greatest way or time to be woken up."
Safari Lodge Adventure Camp
"Beautiful setting and comfy yurt. My only suggestion would be to have water in the room. I had to get water out of the shower room. (And I donโt even drink coffee)"
