"Our two night stay at The Gate Hotel was a base for us to go to see Florence but enable us to park our rental car safely and conveniently. We had the feeling this hotel is often used by tour groups which came late and left early. We learnt the best way in to Florence was to park our car at the airport 4km away, and costs €1 then hop on the tram into the city centre €1.70.
