The staff was friendly and courteous as I entered the hotel. While this hotel is near a busy street, it was calm and quiet enough at night that I could sleep without much interruptions. Having a small fridge made it easy for me to save my leftovers.
The location is excellent since it’s within walking distance of the orange, purple, and dark blue subway lines at Jongno Sam-ga, and also near the Changdeokgung Palace area and Insadong Culture Street. I was very satisfied and happy with this hotel overall, so I would stay here again in the future!
Staff was super nice!!
The only complaint was the AC not properly working. It would work for a little then shut off. the room would be hot, muggy, and uncomfortable which made it hard to sleep at night.

Liked: Staff & service
Parking proce was not disclosed prior to check-in. The rooms were way too hot. Other than that it is a nice stay.
The staff were friendly, helpful and spoke many languages. The property is clean and had a cafe and there is lots of restaurants in the immediate vicinity. There is housekeeping and fresh bottled water every morning in the room. The location is central for shopping, transport, and palaces. Its a good location and will be visiting again next year

It is located at center of old city. There are lots of dining and shopping places. It is in Insa-Dong and two palaces are in walking distance. And the room was very quiet.

Facilities - fresh towels were put in room everyday by the staff, 2x nearby elevators in floor
Hotel in good location - many neaby restaurants, convience stores & subway stations
Only downside is there is no tea/coffee provided in the room ( although there is kettle for hot water)
Outdated interior, could do with a refurb. Floors and bathroom not very clean, no housekeeping done in the 2 days we stayed.
Staff strict with check in time, we arrived 30 minutes early but had to wait.
Location is a huge plus though.
The room had non-functioning air conditioning, which for a family of four became very hot. We stayed at the hotel between 14 - 20 June and got a large table fan which made it reasonably comfortable. The standard room was generally very low, but the location was very good for those who want to move around the Insadong area. Close to both the subway and buses, so traveling was simple and easy no matter which direction we went to.
The room was clean, so it met my minimum expectations. Although it seemed the room was partly refurbished, as the hotel is very old, it would be better to improve some aspects to keep customers coming to stay. For example, the AC was still functioning but not strong enough to make my room cooler and noisy (there was a window but a fixed one), and the bathtub was leaking. It would also be appreciated if you could provide teabag/drip bag coffee and a mug as an electric kettle is provided.

Disliked: Amenities
Pics online are very outdated. The “family room” is extremely small and was not ideal for more than 2 people. Hotel is older and definitely looks it. Front desk staff was helpful and location isn’t bad. Also, they have a no refund policy and do not budge at all on it. So only book this hotel if you’re ok with disappointment and tight spaces.
Not sure breakfast was "provided", but there was a small restaurant. Was kind of crowded so i skipped it but it smelled good....
Reasonably close to the subway and right by the Insadong shopping area. Plus there is plenty to see within walking distance because it's right downtown.
Proximity to shop is what would carry this hotel. Few steps away to the best coffee places. However, since it is nearing summertime, the air conditioning is a disappointment. They have a rule of 1 hour on and 30 mins off. Or vice versa. So, what keeps the air cool is the fan. They provided a fan but even at night, the temperature is uncomfortable. They need to invest on this. We have requested to clean the room daily because on the first day, we found an insect on the bedding. Upon inspecting, it looks like the sheets were not washed well. We complained to the front desk, and they changed the sheets the next day. The bathroom is also an issue. The tub drain is backed up or clogged after one person taking a shower, The last thing you want to do on your vacation is wait until the drain fill is gone. We are talking about preparing for the day and ending the day to sleep. The hallways are not well kept as the carpets are dirty. The room floor is dusty .They have so much room for improvement, I am sure if all these concerns are taken cared off, they will have full bookings all the time. While I understand this is not a 5 star hotel, they need to be competitive by at least providing comfort and or a home away from home.
This place is really disappointing. It simply wasn't clean and the worst part the AC didn't work and if you're not aware, kriya is extremely hot in the summertime.
