I'm so glad that we still decided to book this hotel after reading some of the reviews, the hotel was really good after all! Metro station is about 2 mins walk and the bus stop is just right inftont

Relaxing but needs a cleaning and better breakfast
Check in was fast and easy. Comfortable bed and a deep tub make for a great way to relax after a day of walking. It would be a good idea to deep clean between visitors. Got to my room and there's long strands of brown hair on the provided hairbrushes and on the bedding (note: I have short blue hair). The bathtub has mold growing around the edges and the dip in between tub and wall has a pool of water in it, letting water collect. The site also claims a free English breakfast with your stay, but your options are toast with 3 choices of toppings, tea or coffee, and little packets of crackers/biscuits. Very bare minimum effort.

You get what you paid for. Although it was cheap, i liked how close it is to a subway station, how quiet the hotel was, the staff was neither rude nor friendly which i didnt mind whether they greeted me or not. The bathroom had mold, seemed like they just made the bed and never changed the sheets, "breakfast" was only a toast and tea or milk or coffee (i didnt mind the breakfast so much)

Both Urban and Friendly
It was a nice little hotel. Friendly and attentive staff. Close to both the subway, bus stop and convenience store. I had the added bonus of a tub. Had the best sleep away at a hotel.

Excellent
Staff were very friendly and helpful despite the language barrier. Accommodated to our requests and helped us with late night food delivery. Hotel is near Bomun station, which is also somewhat easy to excess to other popular stations like Hongdae and Dongdaemun. There are cafes nearby as well; and there is a Korean BBQ place which was real good and affordable (access from the back of the hotel, turn Left, walk straight). There is also an item-catcher arcade opposite the street which is a MUST to go if you’re into such things. The owner is awesome and friendly. Overall, the hotel is well-located and staff are nice. It was an excellent stay for my friends and I.

We booked this place as the photos online looked great. When we got there, the room had not been cleaned properly, and after complaining we got an upgrade. The Superior Room has a nice bath and a comfortable bed but there’s a big noise outside the window and the window blinds do not stop the light coming through.

Superb!
The amenities were great except for the simple breakfast. Very accessible to train, bus and restaurants. Even a ministop just beside the hotel. Staff were accomodating, comfortable bed with functional bathroom amenities including a hair iron!

Place is quiet yet very close to Jongno where many of the must-see sites are like Dondaemun gate, palaces, Jongmyo shrine; markets for shopping; and shops offering traditional Korean dishes.

My daughter and I just spent a wonderful two weeks in Seoul (August 2-16) and stayed in Room 311 at Hotel Story. What a great experience! The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, and spoke English (which is a true bonus when you have no Korean, yourself). The room was very comfortable, with nice bed, computer, kettle, mini fridge, and many included things like shampoo, body wash, conditioner, daily water bottles and cans of cold coffee, as well as breakfast of coffee/tea toast or croissant. They also give you a bag of goodies when you check in, with skin care products and other helpful bits and pieces you may have forgotten to pack, like cotton swabs and condoms haha! 75 Bomun-Ro, where the hotel is located, is very convenient to bus stops and the subway, and we found the neighborhood to be wonderful. We made friends with our local grocer, pizza shop owner, and Lotteria staff. :) There are also coffee shops galore, and other shopping close by. Dongdaemun is just 15 minutes away by Subway, and it's an amazing, vibrant area, with oodles of shopping and dining options. This was our first trip to Seoul, but it certainly won't be our last. What a beautiful culture, with friendly, kind and helpful people everywhere. When we were lost or a little confused about where to go, people would come up and offer help, even if they weren't confident with their English, which literally speaks volumes. If you're on the fence about going to Seoul for tourism, don't hesitate. Do it!

The place was super hot all night. The ondol was set to 27 degrees when we arrived and even after we asked the front desk to turn it off, the place would not cool down. We called again later when there was no change and all they said was it had been turned off. There was one small window that we left open all night. Unfortunately, there was also construction and/or a trash facility nearby. It was loud. In the morning, the sign said there would be bagels and croissants on the weekend. When we asked about it, the front desk said all they had was the cheap sliced bread and buns. Even the peanut butter was empty. It's a shame because we really liked the room, with the bed and jetted tub. But the heat and poor service really ruined it for us.

I would stay here again, despite the attendants not knowing enough English to direct me (on PT) from Seoul Station. The receptionist did use a translator and tried hard to help me before and after I arrived. I was happy for Google Maps through the directions provided in the reservation email. The walk was about 5 to 7 minutes from exit 7 at the Bomun stop; just walk straight and the enter the second Hotel Story door on your right, just passed Woori Bank. I learned that this a couple's or "love" motel, so I was happy that face foam cleanser, face moisturizer, bottled water, robes and condoms were provided in the plentiful toiletry package. The tub was large enough for my long legs to stretch out and relax. The bathtub was better than the shower; regardless of which you use all the water runs onto the floor of the wet bathroom. I could not get the bidet toilet features to work, but the blinking lights on all the buttons indicated that it was fully functional. No closet, but a place to store shoes in the entry way, to change to slippers and behind the door that separates the entrance and the bedroom had two wall hooks. Plenty of light and comfortable temperature features if you care to figure them out. The WiFi was great. I was pleasantly surprised that a desk top computer was included in the room - although I did not use it. The flat TV provided only one English movie channel. Breakfast is from 7 - 10am; it's toast, with peanut butter and/or jelly and tea, coffee and water.

連泊中、毎回受付のスタッフの方が皆さん優しかったです。英語ができる優しいスタッフの方もいました。英語が通じなくとも皆さんこちらの言いたいことを理解しようとしてくれました。受付のスタッフは若い方が多い印象でした、何かあればいつも柔軟に対応していただけました。優しい皆さんのおかげで充実した旅行になりました。また泊まりたいと思います。 お部屋は隅々まで掃除できているかと言われるとそうでもないですが、連泊中は毎日簡単に掃除をして頂けたので特に気になりませんでした。 毎日無料の飲み物やお菓子が置いてあり嬉しかったです。また朝の時間に1階に行くと食パンが置いてありトースターで焼くことができます。

너무 좁아 캐리어도 열기 힘들었어요 샤워기는 고장나서 물이 여기저기로 튀고 샤워실이 있는게 아니라 욕조에서 씻어야 해 물이 침실로 떠어져 씻고나면 항상 바닥에 물이 한강 청소도 외국인이 해주는데 바닥이나 침대시트 청결이 엉망 모텔급 숙소입니다

小哥態度很好~
優點：很容易找到，就在大馬路旁邊，交通便利有2個不同線的地鐵站，隔壁就是便利商店，櫃台小哥服務態度很好，房間雖小但該有都有還會附牙刷當小禮物 缺點：房間要上去之前還有階梯如有大型行李較不方便，隔音不太好，櫃台只有位女生會講英文（應該只上早班），房間毛巾有點舊舊的，感覺比較像賓館不是飯店~ 整體而言其實還可以接受，尤其是小哥的態度很好，雖語言不通但他很熱心願意幫妳解決問題

綺麗でした！床暖がついてて暖かかったです。 暑すぎたのでクーラーで調整していましたが^^; 冷蔵庫に水とジュース、コーヒーまであってびっくりしました。タオルも足りないというと快く渡して頂きスタッフさんの対応がよかったです。 コンセントの口が少ないので、タコ足のものを持っていく必要はあると思います！ 気になった点は、トイレの便座が少しずれていて座るたびにずれて落ちそうになったところだけであとは本当に良かったです。ありがとうございました。

Excellent value
We are very satisfied with our stay. The staff were quick to respond to issues and went above and beyond to help. The room was quite comfortable with a nice bathroom and a nice bed. Our only issue was the temperature - the room was very cold and didn't have controllable heating (we stayed here in the winter). The common areas were also quite cold. Also, the breakfast was not the best (only toast and tea/coffee) but we did like that we could take hot tea and snacks during other hours of the day. Overall, I would recommend this hotel: it's excellent for exploring Seoul (especially the northern part) and overall comfortable and of good quality. Not everyone in the staff speaks English, but there was always a staff member nearby who did so language was not an issue.

스페셜룸에서 2박을 지낸 후기
호텔 스페셜룸 503호에서 2박(10/25~27) 좋았던 점 -침대가 매우 푹신함 -스파욕조 덕분에 간만에 제대로 목욕을 즐김 -직원들 서비스가 좋음 안좋았던 점 -세면대와 샤워실 겸 화장실의 물이 거의 잘 마르지 않음 -비데가 고장난 상태로 그대로 방치 -전화기가 파손된 상태로 방치되어있음 -커피포트 속에 녹이 슨 상태로 방치되어 있었음 -냉장고 성능이 별로 안좋음 -어매니티를 기본으로 제공하지 않음 참고할 점(추후 수정되었을 가능성이 있음) -TV에 컴퓨터 화면을 띄우려면 TV모니터 밑에있는 버튼으로 외부입력을 수동으로 조작해야함 -외부 배달음식을 시킬 경우 음식은 객실내까지 배달가능 -컴퓨터 자체성능이 별로 좋지 않음, 사무용이나 영화보기용으로만 이용가능함 안좋은 점 개수가 더 많지만 좋은 점이 이를 상쇄해줄 수 있을 정도로 나름 괜찮았습니다. 호텔스토리에서 여기 적어놓은 안좋았던 점들을 보완해준다면 충분히 값어치를 할 수 있는 호텔이라고 봅니다.
