The hotel is right on Lake Yojoa, within an hour’s drive of San Pedro Sula. I noted that many people come there for the day, to swim or boat. And also because the restaurant is very good and the prices are reasonable. Rooms are comfortable and clean, and staff is very helpful. The layout may seem a bit old-fashioned, and the pool too small, but the boat ride out on the lake cannot be beat. The nature trail on the edge of the property is very worthwhile, too

Charming lakeside hotel with bungalows and gardens and easy access via chartered boats out onto Lake Yojoa. It was a beautiful place to stay as we explored the nearby eco-archeological parks and nature-filled preserves.

Spacious room, beautiful property with gardens, pool, and scenic views of the surrounding mountains and Lake Yojoa. We enjoyed coffee and a tasty breakfast every morning and then spent our days exploring the nearby nature reserves, hiking to waterfalls and spending time with our family. The Honduyate staff was very friendly and helpful when we needed their assistance to get some work done to meet a deadline.
