"Nice place. Simple and clean. Beach is 2 mins from the apartments. It’s a dog beach and is nice. Not the best in the area but certainly good enough for a quick escape to the beach. We were there for 2 weeks at the end of July and the beaches weren’t packed. The place is well air conditioned and clean. There are communal bbqs that are well maintained. Most people have dogs which is fine with us but might not be for everyone. Overall a simple, basic but pleasant stay and decent value. It’s near...

"I was looking for a typical Tuscan Villa experience and La Cianella fit the bill perfectly. It is located on a hillside overlooking a beautiful valley, filled with olive groves. The rooms are romantically decorated and there are seating areas outside the rooms, so you can enjoy the outdoors if the weather cooperates. We were able to enjoy an afternoon by the pool as well, but there are public beaches nearby as well, if you wish to swim in the sea. Bruno, the owner, is a wealth of information...

"Very nice and unique accommodation. Very comfortable. Elena and staff very friendly and helpful. Superb restaurant extremely well decorated and wonderful food. Meal was reasonably priced. Great Italian breakfast. Beautiful surroundings. Mountain town of Scarlino very interesting with fortress on top. Lots of history. Didn't use pool as we didn't stay long enough and it was October."

"Perhaps this would be a better ratingif it was presented differently, but expectations significantly exceeded reality. Bring your own toilet paper, shampoo, soap, towels, and bed linens = no kidding. If not, you will be disappointed. No Wifi, one outlet in the whole room. The reservation said 6 beds, and it was actually 2 with a couch pull out. The pictures look alot better than the grounds."

"Lovely setting next to the sea and woodland making it ideal to walk to Follonica and enjoy a walk in the shady in the woodland. Nice and quiet in May. Very clean swimming pools and surroundings."
