"The property was very nice, and the check-in process went well. We were definitely a little taken a back with the fact that the family that runs the property was presently staying there. Where this isn't a deal breaker, and they were very respectful of privacy and very friendly, it was still a little bit of a surprise. Overall, it was a great stay, and we would book again."

"We have stayed in a few locations in Valdez, the Totem was hands down the best! We will absolutely be staying here during our weekend visits! The hotel was clean, the staff very friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet was the best food in town! Bonus, they also have an indoor pool! Can’t wait to stay here again!☺️"

"New and very nice suite with kitchen. Upside - clean, comfortable bedding, walkable to downtown. Downside - black out curtains do not cover the windows, so the room is very bright all night during the summer. No AC and windows do not have a screen if you want to open it. Check in app did not work so checkin was an issue."
