Saunders Island Trip

Due to the ongoing effects of the COVID-19 outbreak, travelling now comes with a few more challenges. Take a look at the following tips before boarding your flight to Saunders Island:

• Understand what, if any, rules or restrictions apply to both your origin and destination. It may not be possible to travel depending on local circumstances, so make sure you check government advisories before booking.
• When you go through airport checkpoints, keep your face mask on. You will be asked to briefly lower it to verify your identity. Passengers who refuse to wear a mask may face civil penalties and may also be denied boarding.
• Avoid handing your boarding pass (electronic or paper) directly to a TSA employee. Rather, you should place the pass on the scanner and then hold it up to allow the agent to visually inspect it.
• You are now allowed to take one container of hand sanitizer up to 12 oz (350 ml) in your carry-on baggage. You'll have to remove it for X-ray scanning.
• Empty everything from your pockets, such as your keys, phone and wallet, and put them in your carry-on instead of the bins. This will minimize handling during the screening process.
• Transport all food items in a clear plastic bag and also put them in a screening bin. Separating food from your carry-on means it's less likely a TSA employee will need to open and touch your bag for inspection.
