Thermal waters at Balneario Termas de São Pedro do Sul offer healing soaks in pools dating back to Roman times. Hike riverside trails along the Vouga or visit the medieval Monastery of São Cristóvão de Lafões for spectacular valley views.
If you’re driving watch out the hotel is easy to miss, it’s on your right hand side as you go up the steep narrow street. If possible turn into the side road just before the hotel and park near the junction. The hotel car park is not far from there.
Lovely quiet situation but not far from the town centre.
Nice room with comfortable bed. The staff are friendly and helpful.

This is the nicest European hotel we have ever stayed in. The building is fabulous, really nicely converted with lots of thoughtful design choices. The rooms are lovely, beds super comfy, nice big fluffy towels. Great indoor spa facilities (we had a brilliant couples massage) and the outdoor pool is the perfect place to swim and relax with a cocktail. There are loads of nice places to sit and relax inside and outside. Staying here feels as comfortable as being at home. The breakfast is...

One of the best breakfasts I ever had. Very friendly and attentive hosts. Charming and unique mansion with strong character. Peacefull and in the middle of nature.
Weak WiFi

We have just returned from a very pleasant stay at this lovely hotel. The staff were excellent, very friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and catered for a lot of tastes. The hotel was very well located for an easy walk into the old town. Plenty of nice restaurants to try nearby. We would not hesitate to recommend the Pousada de Viseu and hope to return ourselves one day.

The room was modern and spotless, the views were beautiful, the breakfast was plentiful. Beatriz was an absolute angel, from making reservations at recommended restaurants, to organising taxis, she often checked in on us to see if we needed anything. What a wonderful find, I'm sure we'll be back! Thank you!

We’ve just returned from a wonderful 7-night stay at D’autor Village, and we genuinely couldn’t have been happier. What a beautiful place!
From the moment we arrived, everything felt luxurious, peaceful and exactly what a holiday should be. The villa was absolutely spotless, beautifully and tastefully decorated, and had everything we could possibly need. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we all slept so well! The pool area felt like a spa, very relaxing, yet the children were still able...
