"Fantastic hotel! Would go back there. The rooms are spacious, the location is perfect. The only drawback was the restaurant, which is ok but not fantastic :)"

"The premises is secure. You need a key to open the main door and then to your room. There is a shared kitchen with fridge and dishes. There are two small tables and chairs in the back beside the jacuzzi."

We had a wonderful relaxing week at Vale da Lapa in April with our two young sons. The villa was spacious, well equipped and cleaned every day if you want it to be.
The swimming pools are great and the boys loved them. It was quite quiet the week we were there, so we often had them to ourselves. We also used the spa facilities and these were great too.
The restaurant had a good menu for lunches. We didn't go in the evenings, so I don't know about the menu for that.

Loved the hotel! Breakfast was great and plenty of choice. Staff were very helpful. Location was great for beaches and walks. We enjoyed the 15 min walk to old town.

This hotel is a gem. We have been going there for years and shall be returning again. As soon as you step in this place, you enter a haven of tranquility and peacefulness. The grounds are stunning, the staff are great (from people at the reception to the buggie lads, to the breakfast team). We are made feel very welcome from beginning to the end. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The breakfast is sensational. I LOVE this place. This is the only place we holiday to since we...

The Salema Beach Village ishigh end with top spec properties. The properties are very well built and tastefully (yet simply) decorated.
We stayed in Townhouse No.111 which is a 3-bedroom and at the back of the complex, overlooking the pool. Once the pool bar opens it will be next door to this property.
Cleaners come in every day (the time varied from 10am on one day to around 5pm on most days) which meant the townhouse was kept spotless. The pool and surrounding area is also spotless as...

Stayed for 1 week mid September 2014- ages 66, 35, 33 and 1 year old. Firstly the apartments- huge! You can tell they are built to be residential originally as they are really spacious with a fully equiped kitchen, utility room, living area and 3 bedrooms. Great pool area with baby pool and full size pool. Plenty of sun beds, never a problem getting one. However no bar, restaurant on site so you have to bring your own down from the room if you want drinks. Assume this is due to it being in a...

Fantastic setting, built into the cliff face. Probably the best views in the whole of The Algarve! Wonderful rooms with extraordinary views out over the sea. Amazing breakfasts, great food and drink during the day. Great staff who treat you like one of the family.

Had a lovely time at this hotel , the only complaint I had was the resident cat !!! Although I am an animal lover I didn't like the supposedly "white" cat that loved to sleep in the seated area at reception . It was a Nasty and unpredictable cat and although I knew not to go near it but children might not be so knowledgeable . Reception staff are always friendly and helpful .

Suitable for small family units with young children. Sounds snooty to say but no riffraff here- everyone is well turned out in tailored shorts/summer dresses etc. Not many tats, football tops, or larger drinking 'here mate' riffraff. The parents appear middle class hard working- podgy dads with trophy wives and the kids are called Emily, charlotte, Henry, Sebastian etc. (I laughed at the pool). Was costly, but then you pay for quality and this facility has all you need for a great family holiday...

This hotel has to be up there with the very best. Absolutely fabulous. Spa centre and gymnasium were also good. Very warm indoor swimming pool if required for later in the year when a little cooler..

We are a family of 4 and booked a garden view apartment. We cooked in the apartment which is very well equipped. The hotel is in a beautiful setting in a cliff over an amazing beach which is a 5 minute walk. There is a bar by the pool serving all sorts of food. Lagos is a 50 minute walk through the scenic route passing Ponta da Piedade/Praia do Camilo/Praia de Dona Ana, some of the “must see sites” in Algarve. You can also catch a bus to Lagos, stop is by the beach. Lagos is a beautiful town...
