My husband and I just got back home from a babymoon at the beautiful Esperas Santorini.
Arrival: The airport or port pickup and luggage transport is an absolute must! It is 45 euros each way, which is comparable to a cab in price and so much more convenient. To get that famous Oia sunset view, you have to climb many stairs, and trust me, you can’t do it alone. You will be amazed at how capable the luggage handlers are. Please tip these guys well!
Check in: The moment you arrive, they welcome you with refreshing juice, show you your room, and give you the lay of the land. The reception is helpful and friendly, and we had no trouble booking restaurant reservations and excursions through them.
Staff: I cannot say enough good things about the staff. They are so kind and caring. While there, my wife had a medical emergency and had to go to the ER three times. They arranged transportation in the middle of the night and were so compassionate. We are so grateful.
The room: We stayed in 117, a 2-bedroom sunset view with plunge pool. The main bedroom was a king sized bed nestled in a cozy, white, relaxing cave. Ahhh. The other bedroom, which we didn’t use, had 2 twin beds. The patio was lovely! The plunge pool was a bit smaller than expected.
The view: It is SPECTACULAR. You will feel like VIP watching the view from your own private balcony while the rest of the city is crowded around nearby streets. Grab a bottle of champagne, relax on your porch, and enjoy the view
