"Friendly staff, beautiful grounds around the pool and breakfast area outside. Nice buffet breakfast with eggs, sausage, potatoes, pancakes, bagels, juice, pastries. We asked for a quiet room, and it was mostly very quiet, except for an occasional noise from the train going by nearby, but it wasn't late so wasn't an issue. I also would suggest on your checkout day that you put a Do Not Disturb sign on your door until you are ready to check out. Checkout time is noon, but the maid tried several times to knock and come in while we were still getting dressed, etc. Easily fixed by putting a sign next time. Overall this is a great place to stay. "

"We selected the Sandpiper based on reviews, location to the airport & price. Check-in was easy and there was someone there to take our keys when we checked out at 3:30 am! The room was clean & comfortable. The mattress was comfortable. Appreciated the small round table with two chairs and the upholstered chair to relax. TV was easy to use. Liked being able to park right in front of our downstairs room to unload & load our suitcases. Felt safe. Is conveniently located to multiple restaurants (we ate at Harry’s Plaza Cafe) and a shopping mall with Chaucer’s Book Store and a grocery store. Three other perks are a pool, an elevator and included breakfast. If we need another Santa Barbara hotel, we would definitely stay here again. "

"We consistently have a pleasant stay here. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. Our dog has anxiety and this is one property she is comfortable staying at. The dog areas are clean and stocked. The grounds are clean and look nice. It is located central to many shops and dining."
