"This hotel welcomed us with open arms. This hotel is not a 5 star restaurant, it’s very humble with no air conditioning and the room is small but the staff is very helpful and nice. They served us breakfast the morning we went to Machu Picchu complementary which was super nice. They also watched our luggage so we didn’t have to take it with us until we returned."

"Very comfortable bed. Separate sitting area with second TV. Extra large bathroom with large shower and deep bathtub. Nice plush towels. Pleasant breakfast starting early and ending late. Very quiet room (sound dampening windows blocked out the noise of the train station across the street as long as everything was closed. Convenient part of town for trains and busses to Machu Picchu. Those were the good things. Strong smell of sewer in the bathrooms. Loose toilet seats. Only enough hot water for a couple of inches in the tub. Strong smell of diesel from the train if you have windows or doors open in bedroom, and very noisy. Doors in lobby would not close unless you push them shut. They wanted you to hang ponchos outside, but I noticed the many dogs in town would take a wizz on the items hanging there. The sense of quality was a very thin veneer. Low quality furnishings, lobby not clean and furniture shabby. Long periods of time with no one at the desk."
