"The hotels was excellent and I rather liked the fact that it was tucked away in a less dense area of Santa Rosa. I only have a couple of small complaints. First, there needs to be more light in the room. I think having lights of some sort on both sides of the beds instead of just the two lamps in between them. The other is the TV signal dropped out a few times. Granted, this may have been due to the weather, but there wasn't much wind and it didn't rain while I stayed there."

"Lovely historic hotel with modern amenities. Attached is a wonderful kosher restaurant. Even though the elevator was out of order, they notified us ahead of time and moved our room to a lower floor. Parking is a dedicated lot across the street. We will be back."
The Sandman Santa Rosa Sonoma, an Ascend Collection Hotel

"I really enjoyed the Sandman. The room was very comfortable with extra space to sit and relax. The pool and hot tub were great! The property is well taken care of and updated. I recently stayed at a sister property in Anderson, CA so I knew the Sandman would also be on par. The breakfast was a nice bonus as well. I will definitely book Ascend Collection properties for future travels."

"Very polite and attentive staff. Checked in very quickly and even offered us a glass of champagne as it was our anniversary the day we checked in. Not a ton of amenities (pool, fitness center) since it is an older building located directly in downtown, however, the building is very clean and our room was great for the two of us. Would stay again and I’d say it’s a great spot for couples staying within the wine country area."

"Called for an early check in and unfortunately was not able to be accommodated. I came in at my check in time and the room was still not ready. However, a manager, Tony upgraded us to a suite and we were checked in upon check in time. Thank you Tony! Excellent customer service"
