Santa Marta del Cerro Trip

First I booked the Siesta & Go nearby Atocha Station, but for some reason the reservation system booked an individual room in the one located in Nuevos Ministerios. Location is known for botellones, so access to the property smelled bad and lots of bottles were lying on the floor when I arrived. Then walls are so thin, there was some noises that kept me from sleeping

My wife, our 4-year-old daughter and I stayed at Colectia Stays Gran Vía for two nights while visiting Madrid from Canada, and we had a great experience. Before arriving, I was a little unsure about the setup. Everything is done digitally, including check-in and access to the hotel and room. Considering we paid close to $400 CAD per night, I initially found it a little odd that there wasn’t a traditional 24-hour front desk. However, once we arrived, those concerns quickly disappeared. The location honestly couldn’t be better. You are right on Gran Vía, surrounded by restaurants, shops and so much energy. The atmosphere of the street is difficult to describe, but all three of us absolutely loved it. The hotel occupies part of a floor within a larger building. Once you enter the hotel area, it feels clean, modern and premium, with a very fresh and welcoming scent. There is also a great complimentary coffee machine with several coffee and latte options, along with biscuits and candy for the kids, which was a nice touch. We booked a three-person room with a city view. It was very clean, comfortable and nicely designed. The highlight was definitely the balcony overlooking Gran Vía. We loved standing outside and taking in the views and atmosphere of the city. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend Colectia Stays Gran Vía to friends and family. We would definitely stay here again on a future visit to Madrid.
