The service was fantastic. Staff was friendly and informative. The room was clean and comfortable. The Skyfire restaurant was amazing! The resort is beautiful, I will definitely be staying here again next time I’m in Santa Fe!
Staff were great but room was definitely mis priced for value. We stayed in the Kiva Sun which was certainly one of the more expensive rooms and it definitely wasn’t worth the price. Overall a nice place
Close to downtown but everything you would want in a high end resort from stargazing to horseback riding to quality restaurant and pool with attentive and friendly staff
This hotel is set on the mountain and has most incredible views, gardens, people, service, food and amenities. It's pricey but it was so worth it to me. My mission of total decompression was accomplished.
Will absolutely return to this quiet sanctuary. Impeccable service! The rooms are amazing! We enjoyed the trail ride with great horses. Concierge is second to none! They accommodate and help in any way. We loved the Mercedes car service as well. So much to love about this place!
We had a really great time here. This spot stands out for the level of activities on property that you can do (everything from archery to casting to riding horses and more). The turndown service was also really special with little gift like cookies or pillow spray left each night. There is a shuttle service on demand that can take you into town whenever, which is great too. The leaves changing during this time of year made it really magical. One thing to note for others - there isn’t a typical spa like you might expect from a resort like this. You can book a massage or facial but there are no spa amenities (no lockers/robes, plunge pool, steam room, etc.). The only hot tub is at the resort pool outside. The check in for your massage is at a kitchen island in an adobe house on property. Just wanted to let folks know. If you’re looking for a real multi-hour spa experience, it might be best to book that elsewhere.
Bishops lodge is a great place to stay. They are very welcoming from the moment you arrive.
The property seems newer and the facilities are very nice.
I will make this my place when I am in Santa Fe.
Beautiful facility! Luxurious room & bath. Perfectly curated decor. Booked guided park tour, horseback riding & jeep tour through activity coordinator. All were excellent. Highly recommend the Lodge!
Excellent stay ***HOW EVER*** housekeeping service needs to get retrained desperately. For a five star hotel the housekeeping team did not meet expectations. We stayed three days and a bug I killed in the shower stayed there, on the floor, in plain sight, all three days. One day we got back to our room and it looked like the bed had been barely made just the bare minimum wrinkled sheets pulled up to pillows that had not been fluffed. During turn down, not once were slippers put by the side of the bed with towel on the floor by the bed . Attention to detail is lacking. Women’s hair on the floor either from cleaning ladies or previous guest still present while we were in the room. Caulking in the shower in sunset room 12 could get a refresh. Otherwise very large room, walk-in closet, fireplace, both indoors and outdoors. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Great shuttle car service and luxury courtesy cars is available to guests. Great gym and pool area.
Customer service is next level. The property itself is very large, rooms and views are gorgeous, and amenities like the restaurant and spa are first class. This is a very special place!! I loved having a fireplace in our room and our large balcony. They think of everything.
We had a lovely one-night stay in a kiva suite--a huge and wonderful splurge for our anniversary. Every single staff person was kind and went out of our way to make our stay special. The room was gorgeous, with views to the horizon and every comfort--it was a lot of fun to relax in after hiking, horseback riding, etc. There was a small problem with the hot tub but everyone worked hard to get it fixed and we were grateful for their efforts. Would happily return and recommend. The food at Skyfire was delicious, too.
We loved the property, the food, and the staff. Just a great place to celebrate our anniversary.
One piece of feedback - unfortunately, we were disappointed by the massage experience. Two things specifically:
1) the massage quality: the masseuses lacked the skill we'd expect from a luxury spa. The massages felt generic / not personalized to our bodies.
2) the facilities: the amenities were severely lacking compared to what we'd expect at an Auberge property (e.g. no steam room, sauna, plunge pools, etc). As a result, we were in and out of the spa very quickly and didn't feel like we had a great opportunity to fully relax.
We truly value great service and know that not every experience can be perfect, but we did want to provide this feedback given we would've expected a better experience (particularly for the price we paid).
I was excited to stay at the lodge because I was looking at renting the entire bunkhouse for my birthday weekend and meeting the staff to plan something fun.
Checkin was a bad sign. We arrived before 4pm and we didn’t expect our room to be ready but I also wasn’t expecting to never be notified that my room was ready and have to make it a point to notify the checking status that it was now past 4pm and it was time to get us into our room.
Overall our general experience was the property was under staffed and the staff that they do have is in training or not trained enough to feel confident in their roles.
Staff seemed like everyone was training which seemed odd for peak season.
F&B was horrible. I don’t balk at pricing but a $14 iced coffee was ridiculous.
Room service closed at 9:55 pm Saturday night instead of 10pm….it literally is printed that it closes at 10pm. Again another staffing issue.
For a hotel that is 4-5 years old, the staff was poor, and the condition of the room, patio was very tired.
That said it was a two night stay. A longer stay would have been very unfortunate and I don’t feel comfortable or confident that if I rent all 12 rooms in the bunkhouse for three days that my guest not I will have an enjoyable time.
Room was spotless, staff were exceptional, the chef was beyond great. Only mi or issue was some of the lighting on some of the paths around the property.
