"This property is on the outskirts of the historic downtown. It lies directly across the street from state and federal government buildings so safety was never a concern. It is an easy walk to downtown and about a mile to Canyon Road. We are older and we still walked everywhere we wanted to go, putting in about 5-6 miles a day including all the walking tours we participated in. The staff was accommodating, but check in is 4pm not any sooner. (They were very busy, so this was understandable.) They did, however, store our bags so we could enjoy the town since our flight arrived a lot earlier. The room was clean, fresh and comfortable, and of course, the lovely typical Santa Fe ambiance complete with fireplace! It is an affordable option for staying several days! The breakfast buffet was nothing extravagant, but completely adequate to start a day of adventuring, shopping and exploring! We would definitely recommend!"
