"Upon arrival, the service started off well. The gentleman at the front desk informed me that if I became a member, I would be able to check in early and receive free parking. Based on that, I decided to sign up. I was given a parking pass and we dropped our belongings off in the room before heading out to the board walk. First impression of room wasn’t delightful but we were in a rush. When we returned later that evening, I was able to examine it more closely—and that’s when things changed. The room did not feel clean at all. There were what appeared to be ketchup or possibly blood stains on the wall, along with noticeable dirt marks. Even worse, we found a gummy bear in the bed, which made it clear that the sheets had not been properly changed. That completely turned me off. I felt uncomfortable the entire night and barely got any sleep. Bracelet in chair. I brought my concerns to the front desk. Initially, I was offered free parking, which I already had, along with a $40 breakfast credit since I had become a member. Eventually, they refunded half of my stay, which I appreciated. However, I later realized that I was still charged for parking—despite being told it would be free. The hotel’s entrance and overall appearance are nice, but the cleanliness of the room was unacceptable. It honestly feels like the cleaning service needs to be reevaluated. There needs to be more pride taken in maintaining the rooms. At this point, I don’t feel like going through the hassle of cal"

"The rooms were very small but efficient a double double bed room? I haven’t seen a double bed in years! My biggest gripe is that the hotel is directly on the beach and boardwalk and didn’t allow us to take towels to the beach or provide separate beach towels. "

"The hotel is in a great location. The employees were friendly and helpful. We had a great view of the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. We recommended this hotel to others. The only thing is that the elevators are a little slow and sensitive. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay and would book this hotel again."

"Really don’t know how it got a “wonderful” overall rating on hotels.com… it is a very dated, kind of damp and dingy place. Some upgrades have been made, like new headboard and media console, but the rug is dingy and dark, the bathroom and shower had cracked tiles that were attempted to be recaulked, and the walls and floors let all the sound in from the other rooms and outdoor hallway. The window overlooking the pool had condensation all over it… we were on the 2nd floor so not sure why the condensation. I get it, the salty air doesn’t help keep buildings nice, it wears them down faster. But wish the ratings actually reflected reality, so we had known what we were getting into. The guy at front desk was pretty abrupt and didn’t give us any info on the building. I asked if he thought there was parking further back in the lot, instead of where I was parked near the parking lot entrance and street… he didn’t check or think twice, he said “keep your car there” but when I walked to our room, there were several spots (seemly safer spots as they would have been away from the general road more). The woman at the front desk the next morning was friendly. Overall this place is a solid 2-star hotel. It’s not a diamond in the rough or a hidden gem. "

"Easy to find, a lot of construction workers staying there. There multiple places where there was vomit in the parking lot. The rooms were clean but you can hear everything from the other rooms. As a family I will not be staying there again. "
