The hotel is in a good location. Close to everything. Rooms have been partially renovated, leaving some fixtures looking very outdated and worn out. Parking is free and the wifi reliable. Breakfast was very disappointing but the staff was nice and friendly.

Nico’s from the front desk was awesome and Cindy from breakfast place was great. I could tell she loves her work. She gave my wife a sliced bread to feed Einstein the “white duck”.

Great option in an overpriced city.
GM Drew Wakefield has a love for this hotel, and it shows by the great people he hires. The front desk was exceptional. There were three that I interacted with but all three were professional. gracious and helpful. Shame on me that I only caught Kelly's name. I consider this my go to hotel as a fine alternative to the overpriced hotels in Santa Barabra. Conveniently located to most of Santa Barbara.

Vacation hide-away in Santa Barbara
An old style but up-to-date and comfortable place to stay in Santa Barbara. The central courtyard with the trees and pond is lovely and very well maintained, as is the hotel itself. First class, friendly and capable front-desk staff. No fitness center and the meeting areas are limited so best for families and leisure. Ask about the discounts to other local businesses.

We enjoyed the property: the pools were heated and opened till 10pm. They provide continental breakfast but need newer toasters because the line was very long and they took forever to actually toast bread. The property allowed my service dog which was greatly appreciated. Reason as to why I didn’t give this property a 5 star rating is due to the funky old smell in the room, we opened the patio door and it helped but a plug in or carpet reshesher/neutralizer would help.

This property was relatively ok. A person above us was smoking and dropping their cigarette butts in our patio. Then when we turned the air intake in it brought cigarette and marijuana smoke into our room. We have a 7 year old and I have a bad cold which resulted in less than optimal air quality. We told the reception upon check out and their response was that was not ok and they would look into it. Meanwhile we had to have a bad experience and suffer bad air quality and nothing was done.

I rented a suite with 2 queen beds for a week. I was a little surprised to find that in a room meant for 4 people, there were zero coat hooks and hangars sufficient for one person in a small closet. There were also 2 TVs... and the remote for one of them seemed to be a multifunctional device not compatible with the TV. Otherwise, beds wete comfortable, sheets were clean, towels were clean, and plenty of hot water.
