"Hidden costs for cleaning which was extremely disappointing (be prepared to cough up extra €60 for that). Extra charges for the towels (€10 er set per person) which are not included in the price. There are a few things that could use some upgrading and improvement but nevertheless we had a wonderful 2-week stay at the family apartment with two young children. "The payment process. I had to ring up expedia to clarify. It seemed like i was been charged by the property upon arrival. By ringing expedia they were able to find out that they were charging the expedia virtual card. There was no need for the property to have me sit there while the virtual card was been charged. They should have done that either before i arrived or after i left. They also made a big deal of cleaning the apartment before we left but they did not have adequate cleaning supplies...

"The location of the property was perfect. A nice walk to the port and into town. Beautiful beaches all walkable and a fort. The bar was closed the entire time and there was no breakfast provided. However when queried a refund of €5 per day per person was given. The shower tan cold and often overflowed from the shower tray. The room was basic with no kettle but was clean and comfortable. "

Beautiful place

"PRO: Great hotel and staff. Beautiful grounds, lots of grass and huge trees. Relaxed by the pool as the ocean was a little choppy and there was a no swim warning. Would 100% stay here again. CON: There is a steam room and rock carved tubs to use, but the person at the spa is the only one that can access them and she is not always accessible. So that was a little frustration. Also, thought the dinner was overpriced for what you get. I know it's a hotel and prices are always higher, but didn't think the quality matched."

Lovely hotel but needs improving

"Had a lovely stay at this hotel. Positives were that the hotel overall is lovely with lots of space, bedrooms are very big with large beds. Good choice of food and the reception staff were great. Nice pool and little beach. Negatives, the 3 female pool bar staff were very rude on multiple occasions, the pool floor needs updating and the tiling throughout is uneven and dangerous. There is nothing around the hotel. It would benefit from a gift shop on site "

"Amazing beaches and water, lovely staff and incredible food (half-board highly recommended). Excellent and different a la carte choices offered every night. 2 bugbears which prevented me giving 5 stars- 1) It is usual for a top hotel to provide a couple of bottles of complimentary water each night. SM does have the water in the minibar, but they charge for it, which is a little annoying. 2) They have a private, lovely beach. However they charge 50 euros per day for the use of their beach sunloungers, which we were unaware of beforehand. For a hotel of this type, we would not expect to pay for this (and certainly not so much). However, overall, we had a fantastic stay - loved being able to rent e-bikes so we could explore the area."

"I had very low expectations when I book this hotel. I only wanted a beach front hotel! Voi Tanka is much more than that! The resort has good facilities, lovely staff and amazing food (a lot of variety and amazing quality) ! We were in a half board option and we cannot recommend enough the food! I wish I had gone full board. Our room was huge and perfectly cleaned every day but quiet outdated."

"Our room 6 in the residence building was spacious. The bathroom was nice, plenty of towels, great water pressure in the shower, but ran out of hot water when showering easily. Ants in the clothing cabinet and also on the floor near it and near the foot of the bed. Kitchen functional, but the only frying pan was old scratched Teflon. Stove and pan not suitable for cooking steaks. Bed not very comfortable. Hot tub near the pool did not work. Appearance of hotel is that it needs updating. Staff friendly/helpful. I sent a message to the hotel through Expedia asking if they could send my husband's swim trunks to us (forgot them in the bathroom). We would gladly pay postage. No response from the hotel. Disappointed in that."
