Visited in December 2023. Island and many properties still suffering from Hurricane recovery. Property was okay shape. Beaches were deserted. No place to eat close by. Many businesses closed. No taxis. Bike rental on Main Drive was great. Golf cart rental also good. Be sure to clarify how they charge the hotel convenience fee.

Remodeling looks nice. Very expensive stay for average room. The no-seeums are out of control. We bought spray, avoided sunrise & sunset and got eaten alive! My guess is 1,000 bites each; they feel like chicken pox on steroids. *We feel there were many in our room, possibly by cleaning staff propping open the door while cleaning. There has to be away to get them out of the rooms. It really put a damper on our vacation. I even woke up with bites on my face, neck and ears! I don’t think I could go back because of this. 😞 And that’s so sad…I truly love Sanibel Island.

This is a nice place to stay, however, the “no-seeums” make going outside almost unbearable. My wife was bitten up so bad she couldn’t leave the room and will be itching for the next week. Again, the rooms and staff, and location were great, but those bites are terrible.

James, I apologize that the insects made your stay so unbearable. Next time you are here, the front desk staff is happy to show you the locally-made, all natural spray that we carry to fend them off!

It is a beautiful place with excellent staff. Everyone was friendly and courteous and so helpful. Room was beautiful. Grounds are beautiful. The only thing we missed was more dining options on the premises. Going out to eat was a drive, not far but still had to drive. We plan on coming back again.

Had an amazing stay here! Rooms have been recently redone following Hurricane Ian. Lovely, comfortable room & bathroom. Best part is the proximity to the beach! Just steps away. We went to multiple beaches and liked the one right at the resort the best! Yummy food at their on-site restaurant. Super convenient location to access the rest of the island. Highly recommend! Looking forward to going back!

The location was great, the cost was extremely reasonable, there was a very short walk to the beach, the staff members were extremely helpful, and one even helped me find my lost cell phone. The food in the adjacent restaurant was excellent.

I get sick with bedbugs, and the pool was swarmed with mosquitos They only offer to buy de repellent that they have in display.

Oscar, I am sorry to hear that you were bitten by the Ceratopogonidae (no-see-ums) that are inundating the entire island right now. We do have pest control spray where we are legally allowed. We try to educate every guest at check in and offer solutions to limit the exposure but we must have fallen short mentioning it to you. On your next stay, please let me know and I will get you some spray to help keep them at bay.

Great beachfront resort with very clean rooms and attentive staff. But pack extra strength bug spray. There is a heavy Mosquitos presence on the resort campus and beach. My wife was eaten alive. The likely breeding ground is the sitting water swamp near the tiki bar. Hopefully they will drain it or fill it with sand

I appreciate you writing about your experience. We do have plans for a fountain and landscaping in the pond near the Tiki bar. Due to island regulation and because it is close to the turtle breeding grounds, we are unable to fill it in, but we do plan on turning it into a beautiful area with flowing water soon. We can't wait for you to see it when you return.

The property was close to the beach, great pool and bar. the rooms were clean and quiet. It was very relaxing. I wish we would of got more information at check-in on more of what they had to offer.

I do wish there was an elevator. With a neck injury it was hard to drag luggage up and down the stairs. Other than that, it was a wonderful stayand the beach in your backyard was amazing

This property is right on the ocean and recently renovated due to Ian. Nothing fancy, but great staff, cute outside Tiki bar and overall grounds are super nice. Sanibel has yet to fully recover from Ian, but get some bikes and enjoy the outside and you'll have a blast!

This property was very nice—HOWEVER—either Expedia or the property fell short in giving us our reserved room. Months ahead of time we reserved a suite w a kitchenette and couch. Then on our way to Sanibel (at the airport), the hotel called and said our room had been given to someone who stayed longer——or it was because the room had water issues (we heard both). So, we had a basic small hotel room for 8 days. We received a refund for the difference in the prices but THE SUITE WAS WHY WE SELECTED this property.

Great three days. Walls between rooms alittle thin can hear neighbours at 2am getting naughty. And door slamming while having after smoke. But otherwise was great. Grounds are kept clean and staff are very friendly. Well done

Loved this place but they dropped the ball on the small things. There was no toilet paper roller so they just put the toilet paper roll on the back of the toilet and they have a nice safe for you to use while staying there but the batteries were dead and they said they didn't have any batteries to replace them. The only other thing that I can even think to bring up was they picked up all the beach chairs at 5pm which is like 3 hours to early. Other than that our stay was incredible. It's a beautiful quiet place right on the beach.

This property is older. It is very convenient to the beach and food places. There is still a lot of hurricane Ian construction going on around the island. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

This resort has been upgraded and is very nice. The room we stayed in was clean and pleasant with new appliances and AC unit. Comfortable bed, good bathroom and shower. The front end staff and support staff are excellent. The beach is beautiful and the shelling was wonderful. A lovely place to stay and explore Sanibel. However, for some reason the management has a policy that makes the parking lot, tiki bar, pool, dining area and beach access open to the public. This was strange and confusing because random people were hanging around the facilities, using the pool, towels, chairs, tables etc. Beware that there are pools of stagnant standing water all over and the biting insects are everywhere. The risk for serious mosquito bourn disease is quite high.

The smell in the room was very disturbing. Not being able to open the window plus the strange smell of musty carpet and strong cleaners made it unpleasant for chemically sensitive guests.

So happy to be back!! The resort is my happy place and never disappoints. The newly remodeled rooms are great (bathroom is awesome-much better than the old bathrooms). 😊. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Happy to see Melton and Jason at the tiki bar. They are great!

We were very disappointed when we were told upon arrival that the suite we had reserved and paid for was not available due to "plumbing issues." We were told we had no choice but to stay in a standard room with 2 queen beds for our entire 6 day stay. The manager offered to take off the resort fee ($150 total) but was not very helpful beyond that.
